I don’t often agree with conservative columnist George Will but he is right to be outraged by this treatment of a US veteran by ICE. We all should be. https://t.co/wdzom9iNFi

CEO of @antaraintl Shannon Paz, shares how Antara is working to improve the health of women and children in some of India’s most remote and marginalized communities. Every year, over a million pregnant women and children are reached through programs that strengthen healthcare delivery, improve access to services, and ensure high-quality care. By partnering with government health systems, the organization is able to reach further and deeper, addressing barriers that prevent communities from receiving the care they deserve. This is the kind of impact that transforms lives, one mother, one child at a time.

It would be helfpul for @RepSuhas and his staff to look more closely at what is happening in Bangladesh and not simply repeat @hinduact talking points. The people of Bangladesh sacrificed greatly in July/August 2024 to regain their freedoms, and are about to take the next step towards restoring their democracy.
The interim government deserves credit for restoring stability after Hasina fled Bangladesh, including to an economy which had been thoroughly looted by her cronies. Over the past 18 months, the interim government has taken important steps towards ensuring accountability, implementing long overdue reforms, and organizing elections.
The facts do not substantiate the outlandish claims by elements of the former regime and their supporters regarding violence against minorities or rising extremism. The United States has worked closely with the interim government to advance the interests of both countries, including in expanding bilateral trade and investment.
Bangladesh is a complicated and important country. It serves neither U.S. nor Bangladeshi interests to look at it through a narrow partisan lens. I hope that Rep Subramayan takes the opportunity to engage with other voices who can provide a broader perspective on what is happening in Bangladesh.
Finally, I hope his schedule allows the Congressman and his colleagues to visit Bangladesh and see the reality for themselves.
It is encouraging to see organizations like @LiftFundUS getting the resources it needs to apply its highly effective post-disaster strategy to assist small businesses in Kerr County, TX. https://t.co/99DA9tohBR
Here’s another sign that India may be beginning to rethink New Delhi’s unwavering support for Hasina and her party. First NSA Doval’s statement, then a tepid MEA reaction to the verdict, then Chellaney and others distancing from Hasina. Now this.

52 million jobs have been created since the end of the Cold War.
3 Republican administrations. 3 Dem administrations.
96% of jobs created were under DEMOCRATIC administrations.
The last three GOP administrations have one thing in common: RECESSIONS. https://t.co/Wc4KbSuOCD
