@akarsenalnews He has 19 goals in his last 54 games. Lacazette has 19 in his last 57 games. I think we're an inconsistent team regardless of who is at CF but we're pretending were great with Lacazette and terrible with Aubameyang
Sorry I just don't buy this idea we play better without Aubameyang based on a 4 game run with games against Southampton, Leeds and Norwich. Smith Rowe didn't start any of those games either. We've also not scored in our last 4 games without him
I basically should've just said that people in the fanbase are pretending he's better than he was during his absence and people are pretending he's worse than he was during his absence. Sums up my feelings
And there may be reasons at play that means his reintegration into the team isn't possible. But from what we do know, he should be back in the squad imo
@ATronston We might be better without him but people are doing a lot of picking and choosing. Ignoring games we've played well with him and ignoring games where we've played poorly without him. I don't believe there's a massive chasm in performance level at all
With a genuine chance of finishing in the top 4, Arsenal ending the January transfer window with 2 recognised CFs who are both not good enough and out of contract in the summer should result in sackings
@SweGoon I think I'm with you. In a season without Europa League football and out of both cups by January I don't see how people can just accept not doing everything we can to achieve as good a finish as possible in the league
I don't seem to remember Arsenal fans being gracious with Wenger when we lost the title to Leicester because we didn't expect to beat Chelsea and City to the title before the season. It's almost like expectations can change during the season based on changing circumstances
