@HoldEmDandy@gonergnostic@pppplaul72774@Kirwithdot Idk if that's the whole true, the way Flowery phrased it I think he's suspcious of Kris working with the knight more than anything, since he knows they opened the fountain and that has nothing to do with us
@SenseiTomato@DaMan_8406 This plus his wife being the mayor and possibly in on everything. I believe dess knoght over rudy knight but him being sick is not a good argument against the theory
@mondiness@TinkTimeless THIS! OMG THIS! How do ppl get into the logistics of "umm akutally theyd die, and hometown houses more darkners" when defying fate is Flowery's entire point as a character. That mf probably knew the knight was destined to kill him and he threw hands ANYWAYS cuz he believed
@m00nstruckkitty@cantsaveveryone It's less that he's the first and more that his approach is ragebaiting Ralsei into it instead and that ends up very effective
@Morgan_Scape@Icantbeliev23 Which will either be easier if it's main story content or be another optional fight, cuz that's how the game works difficulty wise.
@Morgan_Scape@Icantbeliev23 And it does, but that's still relative. If a game established a level of difficulty, then the final boss will be harder relative to that.
@Morgan_Scape@Icantbeliev23 No, because you only see difficulty through your narrow minded perspective unstead of accepting that how everyone experiences it varies wildly. It's ok to play a game and find it easy, and you shouldnt be expecting it to pull a massive diff spike just to please you
@Morgan_Scape@Icantbeliev23 Well yeah, but both of those are optional? That's my point, the game keeps super difficult challenges optional while allowing weaker players to still complete the core of the game. Most ppl who play UT don't always feel the need to do geno
@Morgan_Scape@Icantbeliev23 Asriel to Undyne the undyring isnt a smooth difficulty curve, that's an insane spike, but it is acceptable because genpcide isn't just a continiouation, but an optional route intended to be hard as fuck and even unfun at times.
@Morgan_Scape@Icantbeliev23 I think the discrepancy here is that you attribute genocide route to be main story, I see it as optional same as the shadow crystal bosses. That route being hard doesn't stop you from playing the main game, which is leagues easier by comparison.
@KaelousPrime@WickedSSBU@EarthAnd_TheSun I'd say that plus in a way it's in-universe nostalgia bait, not for our sake but for the characaters since that's part of what the darkworld represents, escapism through nostlagia
@Icantbeliev23 Yes, and DR chooses to do that through adaptive difficulty and optional challenges. A mandatory boss will never have Knight level difficulty, and if it will just get easier over time, that's my point.
@Icantbeliev23 Say it how you will lmao, the game is clearly going out of its way to accommodate those "ridiculously terrible players". Idk why you're expecting it to stop, neither DR nor UT were ever particularly hard games beyond optional challenges, final bosses included.
@cockcockitcock@hellhound33334@uncommonblin@Comprenale_ Sure, but beating the first knight is both optional and can take hours and days for worse players. Why would they be punished with a mandatory harder fight, when you can just follow the philosophy of the first one and make it optional?
@SSlayer456@hellhound33334@uncommonblin@Comprenale_ No no you dont get it, their personal expeirence of difficulty is objective and the only one that exists, and all games should base their difficulty on their standards.
@Morgan_Scape@Icantbeliev23 Video games have got to be the only hobby where ppl cant have discussions without turning it into a dick measuring contest lmao. I am arguing that the game will maintain its current difficulty curve while you ppl just prove you know nothing of game design.
