🚨 BREAKING: Lawyer @NeilOberman has formally served, by bailiff and on behalf of two members of Montreal’s Jewish community, a legal demand to the Director of the @SPVM, Montreal Mayor @SorayaMartinezF, Quebec Premier @CFrechette, and the commanding officers of the four police stations serving the city’s main Jewish neighborhoods.

The demand concerns the May 24 Montreal4Palestine protest, where participants paraded what appeared to be a hanging effigy of a Jewish man wearing a white kippah — a universally recognized symbol of Jewish identity. The humanoid figure was suspended by the head, publicly displayed, filmed, photographed, and circulated online.

The letter also details multiple incidents during the protest, including aggressive shouting through microphones, intimidation near the Ritz-Carlton of a man carrying an Israeli flag, and confrontations near Zante restaurant.

According to multiple videos, Mahmoud Khalil and Bara Abuhamed, leaders of Montreal4palestine, can allegedly be identified among the participants.

Bara Abuhamed was previously arrested in 2023 at Carrefour Laval on allegations related to unlawful assembly and assaulting a police officer. He and his father have also been associated with organizing Islamic street prayers in front of Notre-Dame Basilica. Abuhamed was additionally named in an injunction, in 2024, prohibiting him from protesting within 50 meters of multiple Jewish institutions and synagogues.

Mahmoud Khalil was previously found guilty on May 12, 2026, of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, but received a conditional discharge with 12 months probation requiring him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Last Sunday, not even two weeks later the judgement, Khalil was back in the streets during the protest, shouting at and harassing individuals, and disturbing the peace.

Why the @SPVM didn’t act?

Shazia Khan is a Pakistani Pediatric Nurse currently with The Montreal’s Children Hospital @HME_MCH and McGill University Health Centre @cusm_muhc. She is registered with the @OIIQ under Registration Number 2140590.

Shazia Khan is a support of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, responsible for the largest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust, where she posts materials of him speaking to her Instagram.

“Nothing but the resistance makes sense anymore” another post reads from Shazia Khan, further reaffirming her support for the designated terrorist group Hamas.

Referring to Israelis including the captive hostages from October 7th, Shazia Khan states “rot in hell” and hopes they “will never know peace or joy in this world.”

Shazia Khan can be seen attending the radical Pro-Hamas Montreal4Palestine events that have been seen overtaking Montreal for over 2 years with terrorist glorification & outdoor prayers.

According to her posts, Shazia Khan wears her keffiyeh to work while at the pediatric hospital, even sharing Palestine lanyard & pins with fellow doctors.

This is a Notice of Public interest to Jewish patients at the listed hospitals who may have children under the care of Shazia Khan, a pediatric nurse who supports Yahya Sinwar & Hamas.
