@DanNeidle The agenda building against Gary proves he is worrying the right people
First they ignored him, then ridiculed him, and now try and inflict personal insults.
Whatever you think on his views, he's winning this argument and has connected with the general public
@JacobHorsfall_ Southgate was huge on culture - Maguire one of the key trusted parts of that, so he's not a bad egg.
He's likely not included for simply being England's best CB for last 10 years, as without him there, the new CBs have the mental breathing room they need to build their legacy
@TheCruncher76 No reason to increase to this level, EXCEPT from maximising revenue for valuation purposes ahead of a sale (if club only increased prices by 5%, it would only make around £1m difference compared to the 12%, so no real impact in grand scheme of things for club)
@basicallydying1 Let's not rewrite history - we had already won 1-0 away from home 4 times by this point in the season. At home we shipped goals in our approach, but Burge and Wolf proved plenty of time they could defend in away games.... Our 9 away clean sheets were crucial.
@chriswisey Baffling that Town have let him go. Chappers was our best 10 imo, proven at this level and will no doubt rip it up for you lot.
Seen quite a bit around about his contract being up next summer, but Town have a year option if they want to extend
@North_Stander Greaves 100% has a higher ceiling and arguably more ability already.
But Burgess suited our system so much better. His reading of the game, covers for Leif, cross field slices. Knew the role to a tea. Greaves needs to still learn this (I'm hopeful).
@AlexOsborn25 Worry is that Mckenna has not learnt as the season as has gone on.
Suspect he's a bit burnout and time off will do him the world of good. Nonetheless needs to learn and be less stubborn if we are to be successful next year.
2 points against the promoted teams is not good enough, but it's the lack of fight which is most concerning (bar a few).
Biggest signing this summer would be finding again the team fight, culture and spirit which got us b2b promotions. Lets run towards adversity again #itfc
@_kieranbl Will have offers from elsewhere and wouldn't blame him leaving after how we've treated him this season. At 29, can't see him accepting being no.2 to greaves when other clubs can offer regular starts. Greaves will get better, but burg was perfect for our system in champ.
@IpswichTown The most frustrating part of this season is that we are "in" games. Our mistakes and (Mckenna) decisions have led to the fine margins going against us. We need to learn from our mistakes. Doing the same things again and again is the definition of insanity #itfc
@markdbliss That's fair, but all 3 teams have still played City & Liverpool at-least once and worst result was 3-1. These are games we're ofc likely to lose, but surely we can't accept defeat before kicking a ball as a battering will become inevitable, which is never good for morale.
