#Referendum2023
I’m so deeply saddened that this has been the result. To all our beautiful First Nations people…my heart goes out to you tonight
I wish this had been different. Please know that there are millions of us who love and treasure and support you, that we hear your Voice and we will continue to walk with you
💔🙏🖤💛❤️
The upcoming referendum seems pretty simple to me. Do we want Indigenous Australians to be recognized in the constitution? And do we want to accept their request to be consulted about things that affect them?
I’m voting “Yes”. For more info click here: https://t.co/0ZqqMp0BQN
It’s been 56 years to the day since the 1967 Referendum. Now more than ever we need to remind ourselves of our collective strength, and the outcomes that we can achieve for a fairer future together.
In '67 we asked to be counted. In 2023 we're asking to be heard.
Language is a key that can bring us all closer together. Treaty can help drive a renewal in our Traditional languages through initiatives like dual place names. Check out the video our elected Assembly Members put together to mark #InternationalMotherLanguageDay.

We're the elected Assembly of Traditional Owners in Victoria working towards Australia's first ever #Treaty with First Peoples -- can you RT and help us reach 3,000 followers?

“I got to visit Wannon Falls near Hamilton the other day. Hope people enjoy the few seconds of what the country brings. Regards,” – Mookeye Bell #WhereYouWannaBe? #OnCountry!
Here in the city, we’re still stuck in lockdown, but it’s Friday arvo so we’re day-dreaming about getting back out on Country. Do you have a special place you wish you were heading to this weekend? Share your pics & tell us #WhereYouWannaBe?

I am happy to be on my peoples’ Country, the land and rivers of my Bangerang Ancestors, the people of the tall trees. Come and visit me in Barmah National Park after the lockdown’s over. https://t.co/H9iZUoLPQb
Powerful piece on how atrocities of the past are still felt today — @KeiraJenkins2 visits Gayiri Country in Qld, where more than 300 First Peoples were murdered. As local Uncle Daryl says: “The truth needs to be told. We can’t keep living a lie." https://t.co/iSNcgsfYGK
Some of the behaviour today - when we’re asking people to stay home - has been really crap. It’s hard to change habits and it’s hard to see dangers that aren’t apparent yet. But with 3,000 cases of COVID in Australia this week, we’re headed to 100,000 in 2-3 weeks without change.
