Candidate for the Victorian Greens in Edendale Ward, Nillumbik Shire Council.
Authorised by M. Shield, Victorian Greens, Suite 1.05, 50 Queen Street, Melbourne
Well well well, if it isn't the highly visible corflute. If you'd like one in your front yard for this council election, firstly, thank you, secondly, click the link in my bio and before long, you'll have me, staring at the oncoming traffic, slowing them down!

I'm off to live my live and get into passion projects that have been put by the wayside for this year, see next Clean Up Australia Day!
For the last time, Authorised by A. Grimes, Factory 1, 1637 Main Rd, Research.

Honestly, I'm kinda glad that I didn't end up winning, because it means I can now finally rest. This year has been incredibly rough on me and Nicole, especially having to manage a campaign and moving at the same time, would not recommend, 0/5 stars.

A good councillor doesn't just represent their ward, they represent all residents of Nillumbik. I hope to see that over the next 4 years, and with any luck, come 2028, multi-member wards.

Tonight, 6 PM, get your votes in! That's it! It's done! No more voting after that. Find your nearest postbox or head down to 970 Main Rd, Eltham & fill out your ballot at the electoral office. Please make sure you number every box, 1-7 in the case of Edendale Ward. #EdendaleWard
Endorsements say a lot about a candidate, but so do anti-endorsements. I'm very proud to be placed last by Turning Point Aus. They're an Aus spinoff of a Yank group that actively & avidly supports & promotes Trump & his politics. They have no place in Aus, let alone in councils.
Turnout is barely 50%, please don't forget to vote, and if you haven't but received your ballot paper, call the VEC on 131832.
All Nillumbik's wards are contested, so as with other elections, you must vote or risk a $100 fine.

🎶And our time is running out 🎶
Voting closes 6 PM on Friday. You can mail at any point before then, but if you want to vote in person (970 Main Rd, Eltham) you have until 6 today (Wednesday), 8 PM Thursday, or 6 PM Friday.

I was curious as to why the turnout for Sugarloaf and Edendale Wards is currently so low, especially compared to this time last year. I swear I used to see a post box along Ryans Rd, near Laurison. But wouldn't you know, there's none!

Not a single postbox, let alone post office in Edendale! If we're to have council elections be essentially postal only, we need to at least give people places where they can deliver their mail! Below is a rough outline of Edendale and the nearest post boxes and offices to you.
If we want fewer people on our roads, a benefit for us all, we need to provide quality alternatives in whatever capacity we can.
(No photo of the bus available because I've only ever seen it once, and I was driving).
We need better intra-suburban transport, and my dad has had a great idea I'd like to try and implement. Full sized buses are obviously gonna struggle to navigate our council streets, but the little white buses, they can reach a much greater area.

Council in conjunction with local businesses and community groups could have a small fleet of them to take people around. I know we already have a small council bus that winds its way through our streets, but it's quite a limited service.
Had a great time at the Nillumbik Pet Expo in Diamo this morning! A great place to welcome Oskar to my family and the shire. Was able to get him registered for free there too!

Remember, HTVs are optional to follow, you can fill in your ballot paper any old which way, so long as you, Edendale Ward, number all the boxes 1-7. Happy voting!
We're now less than a week to go with voting! However, the turnout is disappointingly low (less than 40% across the Eltham wards). If you're you're still undecided, here's an electronic version of my HTV, hopefully it helps you.
