@IniciativaV That’s literally not what Tony wanted and you have to have either not watched the movie or really not paid attention to think that it was.
@FurikuDKairg@vulnerablexgirl@stevncw When did I say that you said he was justified? I’m saying what he did which, in essence, changed her future and prevented the births in her family.
@FurikuDKairg@vulnerablexgirl@stevncw It’s an argument you made, thus the quotes. We can discuss more than one point in same topic and you opened that door. And even if he created a new timeline, that means that he interrupted the timeline to derail from the good life he knew she would lead because he was selfish.
@thatstarwarsgrl I think Sweeney can be too provocative in general public ads but Stone has no room to talk. Her kitty being on display is why most people know her name.
@spinneretmj I really enjoyed Agent Carter, the character and the show. Captain Carter could be cool but she isn’t her own character. She’s just a stand-in for Steve, down to using his catchphrases and things that are specifically meaningful to him, not her.
@FurikuDKairg@vulnerablexgirl@stevncw It’s directly the argument you made. “He just created an alternate history.” Oh, that’s all? I’m saying he was pathetic and a hypocrite for doing that, instead of accepting that she moved on and lead a good life.
@MorihausKyne@YourPalRags TPM had immediate detractors. I was one. But it was still interesting, had a couple really cool things, and was leading to an eventual ending people were hyped to see. TFA was very well received and brought in a lot of new fans but was certainly flawed. TLJ killed new interest.
@atomicintro@YourPalRags Similar. It took a bit longer to completely die off, as in the discussion of TLJ being the kill shot but not the sudden end, my daughter was obsessed w Star Wars. After TLJ her interest dropped like a rock. She still says Star Wars is cool but hasn’t watched any of it since TROS.
@FurikuDKairg@vulnerablexgirl@stevncw Imagine being so pathetically obsessed over someone that’d already moved on, had a family, and died an accomplished woman that you need to create your very own timeline to be with her instead of following your own advice you’d been telling people to move on with their lives.
@sntvizzy Yeah, it’s weird to come away with this question. First, yes, his nano tech is that good. But also, it’s not good enough and they/we knew that going in.
@superbattinswet See, this is just one example of how she’s not “incredibly well written.” She’s cute and has a compelling back story, but her characterization, motivations, arc across several movies, attitude towards anyone that’s supposed to be on the same side are all a mess.
@cvansexual Both could be true but context matters. Peter was emotionally devastated over just hearing of the death of someone he’d loved and been in a relationship with for years. Steve decided to alter the timeline and remove the existence of a family for someone he’d never dated.
