I’m receiving news Sherene Lee @dhiyanasaid asked Muizzu to appoint her as Ambassador to UK but Muizzu wants to replace Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Masood Imad, with Sherene Lee.

Muizzu doesn’t believe Sherene Lee would be as helpful and resourceful as former Ambassador to UK @IruthishamAdam. For example, Muizzu’s daughter Yasmine once had a problem with her refrigerator in Leeds and called Iruthisham, who was residing in London and she guided her on what to do.

Ibu is negotiating with Muizzu’s team on a plan to jail Fayyaz in 2028 if he secures MDP presidential ticket. ACC is manufacturing a case against him, with the expectation that a swift Criminal Court conviction via a compliant judge would disqualify Fayyaz’s candidacy.

Ibu believes that in such a scenario, MDP ticket would automatically pass to the runner up which is himself.

But if the party’s presidential candidate is imprisoned, the replacement should not be the runner up. The candidate himself should select his replacement. In this case, Anni would be the backup candidate and would run for the presidency on Fayyaz’s behalf.

‼️🚨Breaking News

Everyone expected MDP MP Mohamed Ibrahim Kudu (North Galolhu) to vote NO on the confirmation of Appathurey as Cabinet Minister. But he surprised his own party and Parliament by voting YES.

Now the reason is becoming clearer.

Kudu’s own brother, Hussain Irufaan (G. Mushiveli), the owner of My Chemist pharmacy and Heart Land Pharmacy, is facing serious intentional tax evasion charges referred by MIRA to Prosecutor General’s Office. The following 3 cases (and more on the way) have already landed in Criminal Court:

MIRA investigated and prosecuted Hussain Irfan for providing false/falsified info in Business Profit Tax returns for 2018 and 2019 and his income tax return for 2020, with the intent to evade taxes.

The wholesale operation “My Chemist Godown” didn’t report its business income for three consecutive years (2018–2020). Although the business reported an average annual income of USD 3.4 million (52.50 million MVR) during that period, no details of this income were included in tax returns.

MIRA’s additional audits assessed that more than USD 778,788 (12 million MVR) is owed in taxes and Hussain Irfan has been ordered to pay this amount. Under the Income Tax Act, companies earning more than USD 155,757 per month are required to pay 15% of their income as tax. Knowingly evading tax is a criminal offense under Section 64 of Tax Administration Act.

Kudu’s surprise “yes” vote for Appathurey looks like a deal, in exchange for the gov dropping or softening these criminal charges against his sibling Irufaan.

It looks like he sold his vote to protect his family’s business interests, all while pretending to wage a principled fight against the gov. Appathurey desperately wanted MDP MPs to support him so he could portray himself to the world as a figure accepted by both sides, lending him an air of legitimacy. In the end, the shameless Kudu obliged.

Mohamed Haizoom Hussain, 3rd Secretary at Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka, is involved in the illegal sale of cigarettes in Sri Lanka, generating millions each month.

He was detained by Sri Lankan police in connection with these activities but later released following bribery. Both Maldivian Foreign Minister and High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Masood Imad (his name is in Epstein files) were informed of these allegations. Despite this, no action has been taken, due to his family connection to Fenaka’s Mohamed Nimal, who is said to be his uncle.

Separately, last month, Haizoom was asked to vacate his apartment after repeated incidents of returning home intoxicated after 3 am and engaging in arguments with building security. These incidents were also brought to the attention of Foreign Minister.

Despite repeated reported violations, no disciplinary action has been taken. Haizoom’s Sri Lankan bank accounts recorded transactions exceeding LKR 6 million over a three month period.
