The European Parliament approved rules that let platforms scan your private messages.

More MEPs voted against it (314) than for it (276). Yet it still passed because of a technical rule requiring an absolute majority of all MEPs to block it not just those who showed up to vote. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Melbourne to a warm welcome ahead of the Australia–India Annual Leaders’ Summit with PM Anthony Albanese.

The statement comes during high-level talks as tensions simmer over NATO’s role in recent geopolitical flashpoints such as Greenland and Iran.

Trump has long pushed for the U.S. to purchase or exert greater control over Greenland for strategic Arctic reasons. On Iran, he has repeatedly criticized NATO allies for what he sees as insufficient support against Tehran, especially following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes.

China’s birth rate just hit its LOWEST level since 1949.

The country recorded just 5.63 births per 1,000 people, a historic low.

With fertility rates remaining far below replacement for years, China’s population is now projected to shrink dramatically, falling below 1.25 billion by mid-century.

The rapid ageing of society, combined with decades of low births, is creating severe challenges for the workforce, pension systems, and long-term economic growth.

Despite aggressive government incentives including cash bonuses extended maternity leave and housing subsidies in many cities, young Chinese continue to delay or forgo having children amid high living costs, intense work culture, and shifting lifestyle priorities.

China has a clear demographic problem.

I said, 'Yeah... with a name like William the Conqueror, I'd hope so.'

Then I told him, 'We need a better name for you... maybe Charles the Conqueror.'"

🔥🇫🇷 ANOTHER European church in flames.

A fire broke out around 7:30 pm on Saturday near Bordeaux's Basilica of Saint-Michel in southwest France.

It allegedly started in a nearby homeless encampment at the base of the historic UNESCO-listed Gothic basilica. Municipal police and firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze with extinguishers. No injuries were reported and the building sustained no damage.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has yet to comment.

Massive winds hurl debris in every direction as the powerful twister rips down the city street.

The powerful tornado struck parts of Hubei Province (central China) on July 6, 2026. NEW ANGLE of WORLD PEACE STUNT on top of the Empire State Building as details continue to emerge.

A couple scaled the iconic NYC skyscraper’s 1,454-foot spire and unfurled a large banner reading:

“When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

They were identified as rooftoppers Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus (stars of Netflix’s Skywalkers: A Love Story).

At the summit, Ivan proposed to Angela, she said yes.

They safely descended and were taken into police custody.

🇬🇧 Pakistani asylum seeker: £250,000 new-build home NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Muhammad Nadeem (40), his wife and four children were housed in a four-bedroom property in Stoke Heath after his work visa expired and they claimed asylum.

Their complaint? The village is “too rural” and taxis to the nearest supermarket cost £20 return.

They say the house is “no good for us” and want to leave.
