My quick video explains what is happening in Brazil after yesterday’s conviction by Brazil’s Supreme Court, sentencing me to 4 years and 2 months in prison for denouncing human rights violator Alexandre de Moraes.

The world needs to know what is happening in Brazil.
President @realDonaldTrump, please reimpose sanctions against this authoritarian figure. The same people persecuting me today also despise everything your administration stands for: free speech, democracy, and the rule of law.
Statement from CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp on the Political Persecution of Eduardo Bolsonaro
CPAC condemns in the strongest possible terms the conviction and sentencing of Eduardo Bolsonaro by Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court. This is a grave violation of democratic norms, free speech, and the rule of law.
Let’s be clear: Eduardo Bolsonaro’s so-called “crime” was not violence. It was not corruption. It was not a threat against anyone. His alleged crime was exposing the corruption, censorship, and abuse of power taking place inside the Brazilian government and its Supreme Court.
This is lawfare, plain and simple. Eduardo Bolsonaro is being targeted for political reasons because he dared to speak the truth about what is happening in Brazil and because he refused to stay silent while his father, President Jair Bolsonaro, and millions of Brazilian conservatives were subjected to political persecution.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes has become the face of this judicial overreach. Moraes ignored a U.S. judicial proceeding related to censorship of Americans on social media only reinforced what the world already sees: Brazil’s ruling establishment wants the power to silence its critics at home while escaping scrutiny abroad.
Even more alarming, Moraes voted to convict Eduardo Bolsonaro in a case in which Moraes himself claims to be the victim. In any impartial judicial system, it would be unthinkable for a magistrate to act simultaneously as judge and alleged victim. Yet that is precisely what Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court has allowed, turning the appearance of justice into an instrument of political retribution.
No court should be above accountability. No judge should be allowed to censor political opponents, intimidate opponents, or punish citizens for speaking out. And no democracy can survive when criminal law is twisted into a weapon against the opposition.
CPAC stands with Eduardo Bolsonaro, President Jair Bolsonaro, and the Brazilian people who are fighting for free speech, fair elections, judicial accountability, and real democracy.
The world is watching Brazil. Conservatives across America and around the globe will not be silent while lawfare replaces justice.

Brazil is set to issue its first sovereign debt in Chinese yuan — a move that hands leverage straight to the Chinese Communist Party.

This isn’t diversification. It’s deepening dependence on a strategic rival while tensions with the Trump administration rise. Brazil’s future shouldn’t be mortgaged in renminbi.

Imagine that an American judge sends secret orders by email to Brazilian companies. The orders require them to take actions inside Brazil that violate Brazilian law. The Brazilian executives are told in the email by the American judge not to notify Brazilian authorities or anyone else about the secret order.
Would anyone in Brasília call that “respect for American sovereignty”?
Sovereignty is not a one way shield. If a Brazilian Supreme Court justice wants his orders to have effect in another country, he must go through that country’s law, courts, and due process. That principle protects Brazil.
It also protects the United States.
🚨 Brazil’s Supreme Court Prepares to Convict Eduardo Bolsonaro
In a blatant act of political retaliation, Brazil’s activist Supreme Court is set to convict Eduardo Bolsonaro tomorrow — punishing him for urging the Trump administration to sanction rogue justices and defend freedom in Brazil.
This is lawfare at its worst: the same court that jailed his father now targets the son for fighting back against tyranny.

Lula’s latest disgrace exposes everything wrong with Brazil’s left — pure contempt for the police and a shameful wink to the criminals. 😱😱😱
In classic leftist fashion, Lula just declared that stolen cell phones shouldn’t be returned to police stations because honest citizens are “afraid” of the kind of officers they might meet. Instead, he wants them dropped off at the post office like it’s no big deal.
This isn’t a policy. It’s a betrayal of every cop risking their life while his government coddles bandits.

The deadline for Justice Alexandre de Moraes to respond in the Rumble/Trump Media case expired yesterday. No appearance. No request for more time.
The Government of Brazil did appear to argue sovereignty and clarified it did not appear for Moraes. Its own filing says it raises the defense “on its own behalf exclusively,” and its lawyers identify themselves as counsel for the Federative Republic of Brazil, not counsel for Moraes.
To argue Brazilian sovereignty while Moraes simultaneously violates U.S. laws is the right of the Government of Brazil. The federal court in Florida will hear those arguments in due course.
🚨 BREAKING: AGU Demands U.S. Court Dismiss Rumble Lawsuit, Shielding Moraes paid by the people
In a direct assault on American free speech, Brazil’s Attorney General’s Office (AGU) has rushed into a U.S. federal court asking it to throw out Rumble and Trump Media’s lawsuit against Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.
The Brazilian government is invoking “sovereign immunity” to protect one of the most aggressive censors in the Western world — the man who has spent years ordering the suspension of conservative accounts, fining platforms, and trying to dictate what Americans can say online.
This is foreign judicial overreach at its worst. Full story 👇
