1. You didn’t answer my questions. Read our thread.

2. I don’t believe the Gospels or Christianity or Jesus being a Messiah. So you didn’t get anyone but yourself.

(Hey genius, maybe if you find problems with the Gospels, and they find problems with you the reason is because you both have problems?)

3. Deuteronomy 21:22-23 talks about someone hung from a tree. Crucifixion wasn’t done on a tree. Once wood is chopped and turned into something else it’s not a tree. It’s also a commandment on the Israelites, and Christians would say it doesn’t apply to someone that Romans hung unjustly. The hanging isn’t what makes someone cursed, it’s their crime that makes them cursed.

4. Islam also claims Jesus was hung on a cross. Muhammad just copied Mani, the prophet of Manicheaism’s claim that he didn’t die on the cross, it just looked like he did. That doesn’t solve the problem Islam also has that he was hung there - which implies Islam also believes he’s cursed but Islam also views him as a messiah.

Copying manicheaism is also a stupid plagiarism. Muhammad did it a lot in his claims of being a prophet.

5. If you’re going to quote the Torah as your evidence against Christianity, then the Torah can also be used as evidence against Islam. Otherwise you’re a hypocrite. In which case Muhammad is a liar who changed the Torah laws, and not an Israelite so couldn’t be a prophet. Go look up the requirements for a prophet in the Torah, and what disqualifies someone as a false prophet.

In the Jewish tradition, Satan is an adversary, opponent, accuser who talks against God (not a fiery hell demon with horns) and tests someone’s righteousness.

In a psychological sense, Judaism and Christianity elevate a God with the desired, admired values. That’s a psychological role in the mind’s eye. The paragon of those values to aspire to.

So the snake in the garden of Eden which convinces Eve to oppose God’s command for her self interest becomes associated with a tool of Satan and the evil inclination.

So Satanic, could, from a psychological perspective, mean ideologies and people that disparage, demoralize, attack, and talk against that paragon of values.

There are two different statistical approaches to a question like this.

What wasn’t mentioned, but that evolutionary biologists would be more comfortable with is Bayesian inference.

Bayesian inference begins with prior probabilities based on existing evidence and updates them as new evidence arrives. It does not assume a blank slate. It asks: given what we already know and these new data, how probable is each competing hypothesis?

In contrast, Classical hypothesis testing begins with a chosen null hypothesis.

That null is often “no difference,” but it does not have to be - it can be “there is a difference”. And this later method is used in practical application like pharmacology.

For example, in comparing a new medicine with an existing medicine (non-inferiority and equivalence testing), the null is that treatments are different until sufficient evidence shows they are equivalent.

Another common mistake people make when applying hypothesis testing is that if a study fails to reject the null, especially for insufficient evidence, that does not prove the null is true.

It means only that there was insufficient evidence to reject the particular null that was chosen. A common mistake is to treat “failed to reject” as “proved true.”
