Kentucky vs Louisville positional height comparison:
PG: UK 6’5, UL 5’11
SG: UK 6’5, UL 6’4
SF: UK 6’8, UL 6’6
PF: UK 6’8, UL 6’10
C: UK 6’11, UL 6’7
Advantage: UK 11”
Positional height isn’t everything, but it can mean a lot.
Kentucky's roster is strong. Top 15-20 IMO
Breakout sophomore NBA big + depth behind him, the best shooter in the country, an elite 3 & D wing, tons of on ball creation guards.
Questions:
Can Mark Pope have his best defense yet?
How big will Malachi Moreno's breakout be?
Can Wilkins & Diallo limit their turnovers?
Will this UK team have the intensity & chemistry it lacked last year?
Milan Momcilovic is the PERFECT compliment to the two elite playmakers that Kentucky had already landed in the transfer portal.
Zoom Diallo & Alex Wilkins just got even better with Momcilovic in the fold.
Two 30%+ assist rate guys, but admittedly ball dominant and not high-level shooting threats. Their driving lanes just got a lot more open and when the defense does collapse they have the best shooter in the country to throw it to.
Not many teams in the country have an offseason haul as good as Diallo/Momcilovic/Wilkins + the retention of Moreno.
The Seahawks have already been navigating this. They chose not to extend their older QB, signed a younger player who makes less, and have been extending their young starters:
- Charles Cross
- Abe Lucas
- JSN
- Julian Love
- Drake Thomas
1 SB down. Still more work to be done.
