Good grief! This parliamentary dinosaur says he won't back Kemi Badenoch as #Tory leader because her kids are 3yrs younger than Jenrick's.
I really don't care which terrible person runs the Terrible Party, but did Sir Christopher Chope just reveal another facet to their bigotry?
This beautiful farmland in Bedfordshire is at risk of turning into a huge solar farm - with 1,900 acres of countryside being plastered with solar panels. The site is larger than 1,000 football pitches. This is fundamentally wrong on so many levels.
โWhile the black surfaces of solar panels absorb most of the sunlight that reaches them, only a fraction (around 15%) of the incoming energy gets converted to electricity. The rest is returned to the environment as heat - raising temperatures.โ

Helllo @BBCNews - You ran a story a few days back about a photographer who uses expired film. I cannot find it on your site. Any help gratefully received.
P.S. You all work very hard to bring us a range of stories, you deserve a better search engine on https://t.co/4rgEGNOuxO.
@BladeoftheS I've seen Freeports elsewhere in the world that, after the odd teething problem, ended up creating a ton of jobs, improved tech education and benefited the economy.
I'm fairly sure that's not what's happening in the UK.
The challenges that contributed to the fall of the Western Roman Empire bear similarities to the issues currently facing the United States:
1. A corrupt elite diverting public resources for private gain.
2. Systemic corruption throughout political and social structures.
3. The erosion of the rule of law, with extralegal actions undermining the legal framework that once upheld the Republic.
4. Frequent invasions that made vast territories indefensible.
5. The degradation of the military, leading to an inability to defend key outposts.
6. The challenge of sustaining an empire, as the United States, much like the Roman Republic, now faces the question of whether it is still a republic or has transitioned into an empire.
7. The need for extensive maritime and military power to maintain global influence, which adds strain on the countryโs resources and governance.
I cannot truly express here just how silly excited I am to be listening to the #DoctorWhoProms on @BBCRadio3.
Murray Gold is a genius.
And Donna Noble is presenting!!!!!!
Quick! Bring me more exclamation marks!
