@KayElleTweets The only reason why these occurrences aren’t rare for you is because the social media algorithm is shaping your view of the world. How many people in real life do you know who actually have these rare health conditions?
@oldfshndanne@muzikguy1@_lolololno First of all protecting babies is up to the parents of the babies. As for COVID the vast majority of doctors and nurses will tell you that things have improved significantly. Having a vaccine that significantly reduces the severity of an infection is a game changer.
@JasonDJudge@oldfshndanne The vast majority of doctors and nurses recognize that people will occasionally get sick, even with the occasional respiratory virus. While an infection blocking vaccine or cure would be excellent a treatment that significantly reduces the severity can also be a game changer.
@fedupguineapig@oldfshndanne I do agree that we need better treatment for the people that do have severe long COVID symptoms but if you actually go out and take a look around you will see that the vast majority of people are living normal lives.
@fedupguineapig@oldfshndanne First of all long COVID is a very broad term and does include mild long term symptoms, secondly most people do recover from their long COVID symptoms and finally even your stats show that most people don’t develop long COVID.
@muzikguy1@_lolololno@oldfshndanne@oldfshndanne if you acknowledge that the flu is now endemic then you also need to admit that COVID is now endemic and that it’s about as severe as the flu.
@muzikguy1@_lolololno@oldfshndanne@oldfshndanne if you’re going to insist that we’re still in the midst of the COVID pandemic then why aren’t you raising the alarm about being in the midst of the influenza pandemic(been occurring since 1918)?
@oldfshndanne Even the JAMA network has posted studies that show lower rates of long COVID cases and increased rates of recovery. https://t.co/F01Zgk3jnb
@CovidSolidarit1@FolkyHel@Oldboatie When you have a family member or close friends who live thousands of miles away not being able to visit them is really hard. My family did make the sacrifice of not visiting my sister but as soon as quarantine requirements were lifted we began traveling again.
