So grateful for this opportunity to contribute and grow, and especially thankful for those who supported and encouraged me as I pursued this next adventure in my career. Onward!
Iβm excited to share that next week Iβll be starting a new job as a Public Information Officer with @MTCBATAβs Public Engagement team! The role focuses on writing/editing a ton of delightfully nerdy content π€ and supporting MTCβs community outreach work.
I got to meet a pretty remarkable 6th grader this week named Eva. Check out her story about the lasting impact she just made in @SantaClaraCity: https://t.co/9ZAjXBAg7d
A very special 6th grader just made a lasting impact in our community.
2 years ago, while Eva was attending St. Justin School in @SantaClaraCity, she got inspired to create a public art bench for the nearby VTA bus stop serving Route 57 at the Homestead & Kiely intersection.
A growing number of people, many of whom have relied on transit throughout the pandemic, and more are returning with increased service frequency.
Thatβs who the heβll rides.

βTo successfully fight climate change, low- and moderate- income communities have to have access to these electric vehicles.β
Great piece by @evanhalper, @maggiebeidelman, & @jjluna17 on efforts to close the electric car divide.
What more fitting way to kick off '22 than with a story about Route 22! If you're looking for a heartfelt reminder about the capacity for human kindness and healing, look no further than VTA Bus Operator Eric Shaunce. #VTAFamily
Iβm reminded every day I come into work how much @BettyMWhite has inspired and entertained throughout her 99 years. Such an icon. π³οΈβπ Thanks for the laughsβ¦ Rest In Peace π°β€οΈ #ThankYouForBeingAFriend
People are returning to transit. Last month, we hit 47% of pre-pandemic weekday ridership, and thereβs interesting data pointing to where our recovery is coming from. Time for a transportation thread π€ https://t.co/S1FShqyJ4H
Happy 85th Birthday π₯³ to the #BayBridge! It's considered one of the major engineering projects of the 20th century. Thank you to the men and women of @CaltransD4 who work on the bridge everyday! #BayArea#SF#Oakland
Congratulations to the 27 new Bus Operators who graduated today from their challenging 9-week training course. These phenomenal, hard working additions to the #VTAFamilly are ready to hit the streets, bringing us a little closer to returning to pre-pandemic service levels.
Five VTA Bus Operators recently participated in the Santa Clara Parade of Champions celebrating frontline heroes. These employees joined a float organized by the Sikh community of San Jose.
Among them was Samarpal Singh.
We are proud to share his story: https://t.co/muwcONYrCm
