🚱 WATER SUPPLY UPDATE: HONEYDEW RESERVOIR
2 April 2026 Time: 10h00 – Cllr Devon Steenkamp

Following ongoing issues and initial assessments, Joburg Water has indicated that a more extensive investigation will now be commissioned to identify the root cause of the ongoing water supply problems.

While inflow to the reservoir remains normal, the unusually high outflow and continued low levels suggest that there may be a larger underlying issue within the system that requires deeper inspection.

Joburg Water will be deploying additional resources as part of this investigation to locate the problem.

Residents are still encouraged to report any visible leaks or bursts, as this will assist in narrowing down the cause.

I will continue to engage and provide updates as more information becomes available.
