@RatstronautVt@PaulTassi Its not just "the post FS drop", people were done with this franchise.
The days of 300k Day 1 concurrent Steam users were already over.
@DSR_Joker Yeah and I don't think I'm all the way there - I constantly:
- Do Rook runs
- Fill in with Sponsored kit
- Buy cheap gear (eg double V11s) and infil without a backpack
@DSR_Joker Lol
I 100% get how painful it is for MMO players to *lose* their gear.
Exactly that is what makes the genre so good, once you tune into that.
Oh and it's like 10x harder than Day 1 raids.
@PaulTassi@Forbes It is possible that S3, not S2, is the real important launch, as S2 is only just starting to benefit from migrated D2 devs.
Plus D2 Goodbye, ofc.
Alternatively, neither Sony nor Bungo know how to operate a calendar, and this release clash is a total self own fiasco.
@DSR_Joker Sure, and I'm not blind - it failed at that. I'm not calling it a "successful" game (although I think it has the bones, if given time, to find an audience and a sustainable revenue model).
But a game can be good and unsuccessful, right?
@DSR_Joker I respect everyone's right not to vibe with the genre (eg you, Mtashed), and thats 100% legit. But that doesnt make it a bad game, any more than my not being into RPGs makes FFIV a bad game.
@DSR_Joker Most of the indifference/hate it gets, is either down to it being an extraction shooter, or due to art theft/Bungo hate baiting.
The art is great, the gunplay feels great, the maps are inspired (especially Cryo and Outpost). The audio design is ***nuts***.
