🔹 Popular Initiative – 100,000 signatures = vote on a constitutional amendment.
🔹 Optional Referendum – 50,000 signatures = challenge a law.
🔹 Mandatory Referendum – All constitutional amendments must be voted on.

In Glarus & Appenzell Innerrhoden, citizens still vote by hand in Landsgemeinde assemblies!

Swiss citizens vote 4 times a year on 15 federal issues—turnout: 45.4%.
