12 years ago I started my QA journey 😅
It's funny I knew almost nothing about Testing on my first working day 🙃
Only what I had googled the day before
Created a video with simple tips for my past self✨

My notes from the talk "The Art of Persuasion for Testers"
@tomdrivendev#EuroSTARConf
1⃣ People like it if somebody helps them
2⃣ Frame your problem it THEIRS too
3⃣ Help them with OUR problem😉
4⃣ If you have an idea - go ahead it's easier to apologize than to get permission👏
2/2
4⃣Org culture, industry rules, management, mental model, and decision-making capacity pressure us
5⃣To avoid this bias:
🟢Highlight the risk of continuation of any plan
🟢Have back-out plan ready
🟢Preserve a mental capacity for decisions
🟢Be aware of a risk appetite switch

My takeaways from the talk "How to Prevent your Next Software Release Ending in Disaster" by Andrew Brown
#EuroSTARConf
1⃣ People tend to follow a plan that is clearly failing
2⃣ That's because of external and internal pressures
3⃣ We're afraid of the consequences of failure
@emna__ayadi Thanks, Emna. Agree with you.
It was a really big picture keynote about the nature of genius people and how to create a high performance team
1/2 What I've got from the keynote "It Only Takes One Genius" by Isabel Evans
#EuroSTARConf
1⃣ Lots of things like AI could be invented earlier by genius people
2⃣ Genius mind usually includes only one genius-level skill
3⃣ If you're good at Math you can be bad at communication
2/2
3⃣ You'd like to share your idea and show this on your screen to your pair - traditional pairing
4⃣ You'd like to share your idea and you make your pair reproduce it on THEIR screen - strong pairing
5⃣ Advantages: learning from each other, more empathy, improved collaboration
1/2 My takeaways after the tutorial of
@maaretp
about Social Software Testing Approaches
#EuroSTARConf
1⃣ It's easier to use Pair and Ensemble Testing after practicing them with a more experienced individual
2⃣ Don't tell people you're doing pair testing, just share your screen
EuroSTAR is going Virtual for 1️-day! Tickets are FREE and it’s open to everyone. ⏰ Hurry, it's on TOMORROW, 27th June 👉

5⃣ Always tell the story if you provide a feedback
6⃣ The story includes: the status of the product, how you tested it, what you discovered
7⃣ The best test is always about behavior and intension
8⃣ Taking into account validity, reliability, scale, and side effects can help
1/2 My insights after visiting the tutorial of @michaelbolton about Measurements, Metrics and Magic numbers @esconfs
1⃣ Statisticians don't take responsibility
2⃣ Measure everything around
3⃣ But don't set any metric as a goal
4⃣ Numbers are nothing without proper interpretation
@allenholub I mean "bugs just happen" still be valid even after all mechanisms applied
Moreover, any product shouldn't be high quality, it's just wasting your time in many cases
I love the concept of "enough" or "sufficient" quality for the current purpose
Say no to ready-made solutions 😉
Have I shared I'll be speaking at #TestingStage? Just recorded my brand-new talk "Team Transformation Tactics for Holistic Testing and Quality" for it, very curious what you'll think! 😊 By the way, it's online, free & you can choose to donate to support. https://t.co/9Qded2YXWG
