@zechariah1680 I'm still waiting for eight. BTW, Beltre is 6th in bWAR7 (A-Rod considered an SS by bbref), so the prime Longo, Zimmerman, and Wright arguments don't fly. You're really reaching. I believe there are 16 3Bs in the HOF. You can surely find eight.
One of the greatest fielders in the history of the game hit 477 HRs and 636 doubles. This guy thinks he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. Now that the cherry's been broken on unanimous votegetters, deserving players like Adrian Beltre should walk in without a blemish.
Ballot #32 is from Bill Ballou. He checks the boxes for his holdovers, Manny and A-Rod. Beltré is no longer unanimous. His column: https://t.co/3soMpbW1MA
Coming soon to the Tracker.
@zechariah1680 All-Star appearances don't prove who the best of the best are. They prove who fans and managers like the most. Your litmus test is silly. Adrian Beltre is a top-8 if not top-5 3B of all-time by bWAR, fWAR, JAWS, WAR7, HRs,RBI, Gold Gloves (since you're into popularity contests).
@kpazc1 If you think the Hall is stupid, fine, but it matters to a lot of people. Like, I think college sports, MMA, and Taylor Swift are stupid, but my thoughts don't make them matter any less to a lot of people.
@kpazc1 I don't really see how Bonds not being in should make people not voting for Beltre a non-issue. The honor still exists and this was a slow-pitched way for writers to collectively get something right and this exacerbates the point that the association needs an audit.
