Bored wrestling research mercenary for hire. If the question is interesting, I'll try to figure out the answer. I work cheap (or free) when it helps the sport!
The Most Corrupt Olympic Sport 🚨
A scandal has consumed the U.S. Olympic fencing program.
So I investigated a rabbithole that connects Star Wars; Vladimir Putin; a refereeing crisis; the Ivy League; the IOC; and one of the world's 100 richest men 🕵️♂️⤵️ https://t.co/kUHLz2PDxO
MADE IT 💥 @zaintrainusa has qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France! #wrestleistanbul@teamusa
He defeated Niurgun Skriabin 🏳️ 7-0 in the Olympic Playoff match to earn the final Olympic quota at 65 kg!
@Tony_Rotundo@StacyBehr@HighlightHump I've often wondered if an effort to recruit HS athletes who aren't going to wrestle in college could work. Obviously, offering scholarships would help, but money is always an obstacle in our sport.
Payton Jacobson wrestled at 77-kg in December. Bumped up to 87-kg — 10 kilos is like 22 pounds! — and is now headed to the Olympics. Unreal. #WrestlingTrials24
I remember covering the Cadet Worlds when Brooks won. He had lost to Travis Wittlake at trials, but Wittlake got hurt. You never know at that level, but Aaron had an air of inevitability about him and never looked back. Now he heads to the Olympics!
It shouldn't ever be THAT surprising when Aaron Brooks beats someone. He is that good, no question. I'm still stunned. Thought Taylor's run had at least a couple of years left on it. It might still, but not this year. WOW!
Its against my nature, but I'm trying to just enjoy Amit Elor without wondering where she'll end up among the all-time greats. Let's enjoy the ride because it's an awesome one!
Sarah Hildebrandt remains my favorite WFS athlete. Hasn't lost to an American since 2017, stuffed Jimenez who had a great tournament herself.
Go get that gold!
