No internet. Feeling cut off. Losing early chances. A story so many in our generation share.

I joined #Adnette on THE SET to talk about the journey from a village to global screens.

From the rural Bdi with no internet to picking up a camera and sharing our stories with the world.

This time, I stepped into the guest chair on THE SET with Adnette to share the real journey behind the lens.

#InkerebutsiDay reminded me that storytelling has a place in Bdi’s future.

I was among 10 outstanding youth projects. I didn’t make the top 3, but I gained recognition and more reason to keep telling Burundi’s stories.

This is how morning looks in Burundi.
There was a time when being here meant being disconnected from the world.
Now these hills are slowly connecting.
The dream of remote work, creative studios, storytelling, tourism, and living beyond the city is starting to feel possible.

[Alex Teller 🇧🇮 @AlexTellerr]

I arrived in rural #burundi to film stories. Later, I was in the grass playing with children during break time.

It made me reflect on how the countryside can still have opportunities, not a place people feel forced to escape.

We didn’t expect this.

Mountains covered in green.
