@Chef_Kranis@AvatarTyler You’re just gonna have to explain that line of thinking lmao
He contributed 40+ points of offense a game
Led them in assists/ rebounds / steals that series and the offense ran thru him while being all NBA and the most clutch player in the league
@Chef_Kranis@AvatarTyler You’re the one justifying player rankings off of ECF awards lol
Hali was the sole (current) ALL NBA player on that roster for that year
You watched Hali dominate your squad averaging 21/11//6/2 and came away thinking he wasn’t that good lol
@Kakarottoso5los It’s no more disingenuous than people saying “well he only averaged 15 ppg that series , he doesn’t matter”
99% of the Thunder fan base has said those exact words to me
@Kakarottoso5los Damn you really can’t just say
“The Pacers could have won the title if Hali didn’t get hurt”
Not would have or should have , just that there was a much better chance lol
@Kakarottoso5los I never said it was a guarantee, but I saw Hali on one leg take a 1 point game in the second quarter of game 6 and turn it into a blow out
Why shouldn’t pacers fans believe that Hali doesn’t provide a spark in game 7
Especially with the Thunder struggling against TJM/ Nembhard
@Kakarottoso5los Dude , the Thunder were shooting like 37% from the floor that game , the pacers were tied or winning for most of that game despite Hali being gone
McConnell literally ran out of gas due to playing more minutes / being asked to do too much
Hali being there provides more offense
@Kakarottoso5los 1. The Thunder played the entire season without JW and were still a 60 win team , please tell me how the Pacers have looked the years Hali gets hurt
2. Never brought up the hot start?
They were in a dogfight against TJ McConnell/ tied late in the 3rd
Hali being there helps ??
@Kakarottoso5los Bc he toughed it out and played solid thru a difficult injury ?
How does that change the fact he was still hurt bad the last 3 games of that series lmao
@johunch He was the Pacers second leading scorer and led everyone in the series in assists lol
Why can’t Thunder fans admit that missing that is still pretty damn important
@Joshua_dHoward@virtualboygod@realdealstunnna He also literally got hurt in the first quarter of game 5
Went to the locker room and came back late 2nd quarter and was clearly hobbled the rest of the series
@CryMarie531@casualtweeter02@the2kmessiah@BigshotBlake470@NaptownSeth@Pacers Chet was literally the Thunder’s best or second best defender that series
He literally set a block record against us lol
He wasn’t good offensively, and he fell out this series against the spurs
But people really try to downplay his impact
@NaptownSeth Chet is like 30% of the reason the Thunder beat us
I think you’re severely downplaying his defensive impact
He was setting block records / impacting shots at the rim all series
@Scratchplus1@VeveJones007@thisiskeenyn You completely missed my point lol
Latu was younger / more productive/ and widely considered the best pass rusher
I 100000% believe the Rams would have drafted Latu > Verse if available at that time
@VeveJones007@thisiskeenyn You’re literally using the benefit of hindsight to dog the Latu pick lol
Every mock draft available had him as the most polished / productive pass rusher in the class
If he didn’t have medical concerns , he was gonna be a top 10 pick
