@fawfulfan True, but he was probably merging in his head the East India Company (which the Trade Federation basically is) and the later British rule which has Viceroys.
@fawfulfan True, but in those cases, elected kings are coming from a group of hereditary chiefs/princes ect. Its not the same as electing a random child from a random family.
@ernietedeschi I don't mind it, most US states, or Canadian Provinces, have only one or 2 real cities. In the star wars universe, a lot of these planets only exist for a resource of some kind, so they only need a few settlements for the workers.
@fawfulfan 1) that explanation doesn't work since they go to Tatooine
2) I dont know of any elected monarchy with a fixed term, that elects children and gives them executive powers.
@ShatteredSFW "He told us he could make our invasion legal... and he looks just like the guy who benefited most from the invasion..." Check his call history! Check his pocket and see hes carrying a lightsaber!
@alfredjviii Blade Runner has a bunch of different versions but they published them and you can buy them in the same collection. If GL had done the same, no-one would mind.
@Schaffrillas My nitpick is why does every clone respond with "yes my lord". They don't know Palpatine is a Sith. They don't know what a Sith is. In their minds, they were just given a lawful order by the Chancellor, so why the new title?
@AlexKoenig1@robbysoave They were told that, by one scientist they dont know, and they don't know who paid for those clones. Why would they trust the Kaminoans at all?
