Avery Jacobsen, a 22-year-old diehard Orioles fan from Lancaster County, Pa., and a recent Loyola University Maryland graduate, caught both Coby Mayo’s homer in 4th and Blaze Alexander’s double in 5th tonight.

Jacobsen didn’t even see the double until his friend, Kyle Weaver, saw it coming. Jacobsen caught it, then gifted that ball to a young fan behind him.

"I think there's a little more veteran presence out here. That's not to take anything away from the core here. The core here is very special, young, talented, homegrown. But getting Pete in here — Pete's been great with the clubhouse, the guys, keeps everyone on the same level. Really awesome to see his personality and the way he goes out about his business on a day to day. Pitching staff is just more experienced, more veteran feel over there.

"They made some good trades this offseason, made some good signs. Already on a good slate. We were already really talented in this clubhouse with what we had, but we made a lot of really good acquisitions. You can tell the front office and ownership, they really want to win this year, and we just want to put on a good show for the fans and go from there"
