Grateful for 16 years in College Football as a Player/Coach. Thankful for the great people I've met & relationships that were formed along the way. Shout out to @WNEFB for a great 6 years & 4 championships. My family and I are excited to begin our next chapter in Boca Raton, FL
If you aren't aware of what's going on right now, let me break it down for you. Jews worldwide are being hunted down and killed. It's only day three of Hanukkah, and already we've seen:
1. Jews murdered by a jihadi father-son duo in Australia that seriously wounded many people, including my friend @Ostrov_A (thinking of you, brother).
2. Students at @BrownUniversity were murdered in a class being taught by Rachel Friedberg, a Jewish professor who leads the school's Judaic Studies program.
3. A Jewish professor of nuclear physics at M.I.T. was murdered in his home today.
4. Orthodox Jews in New York were violently assaulted on the subway.
5. Violent Palestinian protestors disrupted a peaceful Hanukkah celebration in Amsterdam. Dozens were arrested after police had to physically surround families celebrating the holiday to protect them.
6. A Jewish family in California had their home hit by gunfire because they had Hanukkah decorations up. One of the criminals shouted, "Free Palestine."
7. An Islamic terrorist attack has been foiled in Poland at a Christmas market.
8. An Islamic terrorist attack has been foiled in Germany at a Christmas market.
9. A Palestinian terrorist attack was foiled in California.
10. France has cancelled its NYE celebrations because of the terrorist threat level.
11. Canada's Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre has said that a terrorist attack in Canada is now "a realistic possibility."
I've been studying terrorism for 20 years, and I've never seen things this bad. The West is under attack – full stop. The question now is, what the hell are we going to do about it?
What if I had told you in August before the season started that:
-James Franklin is the Head Coach of Virginia Tech
-Michigan's Head Coach is in Prison
-Lane Kiffin coaches LSU
-Ole Miss is in the CFP without a coach
-Indiana is 13-0
-Notre Dame isn't playing in a bowl
-Wisconsin isn't playing in a bowl
-Vanderbilt's QB is in the Heisman race
🚨🚨🚨 HAPPENING NOW OUTSIDE PARK EAST SYNAGOGUE
Antisemites have showed up outside Park East synagogue and are chanting for intifada.
The Rabbi of the synagogue is a holocaust survivor who remembers vividly the horrors of Kristallnacht.
Now, he gets to see the same human material that shattered the glass of synagogues in Berlin and Vienna in 1938, outside his own synagogue.
This is not about Gaza and has never been about Gaza.
This is an attack on the Jewish people.
This is unbelievable. Gazans have opened a cafe in Gaza and named it "Cafe Nova" to celebrate the over 300 young Israelis who were murdered at the Nova music festival by Hamas on October 7.
Fuck anyone who says Gazans are innocent.
🚨 Breaking: Israel Air Force released footage of attack on Arak nuclear reactor earlier today 👇
The reactor was intended for producing plutonium for nuclear weapons. It's now gone, and the world is a safer place, thanks to Israel 🇮🇱
WOW: A former Columbia University student who witnessed the brutal mu*der of two Israeli embassy staff members in D.C. last night says what he saw in the sh**ter’s eyes was no different from what he saw in the eyes of Columbia University pro-Hamas terrorist supporters. “They have called for intifada revolution, which is the same thing he yelled last night.”
Jonathan Epstein: “What I saw in his eyes. I mean, I went to Columbia [University] for grad school and I saw the same thing in his eyes that I saw in the eyes of all the protesters at Columbia. Nothing different between him and then.”
CNN Host: “But they did not create this horrific sh**ting.”
Jonathan Epstein: *Not buying it* “They gave permission. They gave the permission. And they have called for this. They have called for intifada revolution, which is the same thing he yelled last night.”
CNN Host: “Do you worry there will be a conflation though of the two — those people who are speaking their mind who really care about what’s happening in Gaza and those people who are like this person?”
Jonathan Epstein: “A conflation? I mean they are calling for intifada. At Columbia University they call for intifada constantly. They’re not quietly. They’re loud… You can hear it. They make recordings of themselves. So what’s the difference?”
I am so deeply angry over the murder of these beautiful young people.
Sarah Milgrim was gunned down simply for being a Jew outside a Jewish event. She had devoted her life to building bridges — working with Tech2Peace to bring young Israelis and Palestinians together through dialogue and technology.
The killer knew nothing about her compassion, her commitment to peace, or the values she lived by. He saw a Jew and decided she didn’t deserve to live.
Yaron Lischinsky had a Jewish father and a Christian mother. He was a practicing Christian who chose to tie his fate to the people of Israel. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming an Israeli diplomat — and he was living that dream.
The murderer didn’t care about his ideals, his love for others, or his belief in coexistence. He saw someone tied to Israel — and pulled the trigger.
Our hearts and prayers are with the families of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, who were soon preparing to gather in celebration of an engagement, and will now gather to bury their beloveds.
May their memories be a blessing.
