I personally fall in the camp that thinks our direct competitors’ success makes it harder for us to ever stand out among our peers, but I know many others who take a different perspective and think that the SEC being as strong as possible is good for MSU.

What are y’all’s thoughts on rooting for other teams in the SEC in games not involving MSU, particularly when it comes to winning championships? For example, when the CWS was down to 3 teams, I was rooting for Wake over UF and LSU.
