Some personal news: I am happy to share that I’ve recently accepted a call to serve as assistant professor of historical theology at the North American Lutheran Seminary, which is centered at the Trinity School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA).

We have also compiled, for the first time, a companion Reading Guide to help pastors and lay leaders make use of the theological essays within this issue for teaching, catechesis, and formation. https://t.co/8oMxm96zBb
The Summer 2026 issue of Word & Sacrament: The Magazine of the NALS is now available online. The topic of this issue is the first article of the 1530 Augsburg Confession, "Concerning God." https://t.co/fxO6AFgWQo
@RussoHockey@JoeSmithNHL@nytimes Can you do a story (or post) on the offseason timeline other than July 1? When will things open up, what are dates to keep in mind, etc.?
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta Can you make clear the dates of the offseason ahead? You often mention July 1 with regard to signing Kaprizov and deciding on Rossi. Are there other league dates to know in the weeks and months ahead?
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta You seemed to suggest that Guerin might be done with Hartman after this year's difficulties. Do you think the playoff brilliance changes that? Does he stick?
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta How secure is Bogosian's place in the top six? His play in addition to Zeev and Jiricek being at the point of starting their NHL careers seem to suggest it would be better for him to be a rotational 6-7-8 player in the final year of his contract.
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta@TalkNorthPod What are the keys to the matchup with LV? What are the primary areas in which the Wild need to have success to compete in this series? What are the biggest decifiencies we will need to overcome in order to win?
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta@TalkNorthPod We hear the Wild talk about puck luck all the time, and examples abound, but there are also many cases where it just seems like we have very few players with elite hands to finish. Is this an area we can address moving forward from within or through free agency?
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta@TalkNorthPod Do the Wild need to consider moving team leaders who are aging and often unavailable? What players, if any, do you see them moving to make room for prospects/free agents? In recent years, our prospects have not pushed our veterans. Do you see Guerin changing his approach?
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta@TalkNorthPod Around the beginning of the year, you spoke as if the Wild were still far from contending for the cup. After the strong start, you said they were competitive but not cup contenders. Besides health, what is it that they need to become true contenders?
@MiriamJane5 I appreciated Alain Le Boulluec, “A-t-il des traces de la polémique antignostique d’Irénée dans le Péri Archôn d’Origène?,” in Gnosis and Gnosticism: Papers Read at the Seventh International Conference on Patristic Studies, ed. Martin Krause (Leiden: Brill, 1977), 138–147.
@JoeSmithNHL@FOTRshow@GopherHockey Do you think there is a place for Chisholm in the years to ahead? Do you think Spurgeon and Brodin play out the remainder of their contracts with the Wild? Do you anticipate Buium, Ohgren, or Yurov joining the Wild by the end of the season without major injury issues continuing?
@RussoHockey It's too early to overreact, but do you think Hynes (/Guerin) are able and willing to have a short leash with Flower if he stacks bad performances? Though it's not all on him, he didn't come up with many "timely" saves tonight. Are they willing to let Gus or Wally be a true #1?
@RussoHockey@TalkNorthPod@AnthonyLaPanta How likely do you think it is that (1) a veteran gets waived/traded (whether Merrill, Gaudreau, Johansson, or perhaps a more surprising player) before the trade deadline, or (2) Yurov or Buium join the NHL roster by season's end? How does team success influence these decisions?
@RussoHockey@TalkNorthPod@AnthonyLaPanta Do you believe Guerin is content to assess Gustavsson's play this year to discern whether he could be paired with Wallstedt for a strong one-two punch in net for the coming years? It's not clear to me what the alternative is, since we need two goalies and the Flower is retiring.
