@immort3l @drpooplove It's absolutely unrealistic to re-create a fully-functioning multiplayer in 3 months on a new engine with different workflow. Developing games is not CTRL+C => CTRL+V, it's hard. No matter how much I want F2, it won't happen soon🤷.
And it all depends on Sony anyway, not ND.

@drpooplove @Naughty_Dog Naughty Dog leadership seems fine to me, since they, despite being a singleplayer-centered team of people, recognized the potential of Factions and worked on its new iteration for many years. Bungie is a consultant in this case, not the decision-maker. Sony owns, Sony decides 🫠

Naughty Dog is the developer, they are not a publisher, they don't own TLOU, Sony does, and it's Sony who decides what/when to release. It's Sony who makes the call, not Naughty Dog.

I think someone with required skills in TLOU Factions community should recreate Factions servers code, so it would be possible to run the game for anyone when the official servers are dead. Some multiplayer games live like that after the end of official support.

I don't blame Naughty Dog, if anything they know how to create a good multiplayer. It seems to me Sony bosses went too far with their new course. Should've left Naughty Dog alone and let them create what they wanted, whether it's live service or not.

What if Tommy is the leader of a faction opposing Fireflies in Part 3? He still hasn't forgiven Abby, so that could lead to Ellie and Abbie with Fireflies together against Tommy and his faction 🤔
