I just saw an #AmericanAirlines captain come out of the security line, take off his mask, cough three or four times, then walk maskless over to his gate and board the plane. When I asked him why he’s not wearing a mask, he said, “I don’t need one.” The captain.

@brokemoke_04 @dirquez I think a party taking a stand for something positive, ethical, and fair DOES actually do good. I want my party to lead by example and not copy the nasty political tactics of the other side just because the other side is doing it. The sake of our democracy is at stake.

@PinkoStevens @Oregonian I just wish that wasn’t the conclusion of my party and my fellow partisans. I guess I lament the reality and wish we could do better, stand for something more. But reality is: they are doing something nasty so we should too.

@PinkoStevens @Oregonian Don’t be confused. If we want to do all that stuff without earning it from a fair count of votes, it’s not democratic, no matter how laudable the objectives. Pushing an agenda we did not earn by free & fair elections is unethical, the same as when Republicans do it too.

@OPB “And according to one analysis, the plan would be biased heavily in Democrats’ favor.” Gerrymandering should be illegal and redistricting should be done by an independent body, not partisans. Having biased districts, no matter the party they favor, is anti-democratic. Period.
