Today is my mother Margaret’s 100th birthday. She died of lung cancer ( non smoker) in 2004. Mum nursed during the war at Greenslopes Military Hospital in Bris. Because Dad died young, she brought me up as a single mum. She had a hard life. And I could not have had a better mum.

@BellTowerTimes Sometimes at convenience stores in Japan you get given a straw the length of the 1L carton when you buy juice or milk, I get juice but never got why you'd get given the straw with just milk🤔...But I now see "someone" probably complained at one point, "got longer straws?"🙄
