The #Myanmar military is a cartel, funded through a dark network of international businesses and illicit trade.
It's time for governments to act and block the military's access to funds, arms, equipment, technology and jet fuel.

❌ Myanmar military junta does not represent ppl of #Myanmar. They should not be considered as 'Myanmar officials'. Their attendance at the ASEAN-New Zealand Dialogue would further embolden the junta & undermine calls for an immediate end to violence https://t.co/YY73uw0gY4
At #HRC55,@RapporteurUn addressed the ongoing atrocities by the Myanmar junta, & urged ICC member states to refer 🇲🇲situation to @IntlCrimCourt under Art. 14 of the Rome Statute.
@khinohmar also called for int'l support in🇲🇲people's “pursuit of a new federal democratic Myanmar.”
Forcing citizens to join its military, even as it attacks their villages, is demonstrating junta weakness while further inflaming public rage. UN Member States should respond with action that further weakens the junta and supports a people under siege. https://t.co/GcYfrchNVH
“The current military leaders are not only bringing catastrophe to the country but also destroying their own institution,” says Ye Myo Hein
“Even in their potential downfall, they appear ready to bring down the entire institution with them.”

We were honored to host Minister for Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government of Myanmar @ZinMarAungNUG for a student roundtable discussion on the women-led, nonviolent opposition movement against the illegal military coup in #Myanmar.
The video depicts student activists, led by Nan Lin, courageously staging a flash protest in a Yangon bazaar despite serious risks. The local news reported that the following day, the cruel junta demolished that bazaar.
MNDAA Special Region 1 (Kokang) “Martial Law Committee” issues two important statements: (1) demands that all junta troops surrender immediately, hand over weapons, and in turn will receive guarantees for their lives and assets from the MNDAA;
Myanmar military’s incompetence has led to defections, a dire shortage of economic resources and territorial losses.
The global community can help end military rule by tightening sanctions against the junta and funding the opposition. https://t.co/JB0S8AXExN
The world shares responsibility for the dozens killed in a Myanmar junta attack on a Kachin State IDP camp. Statements of condemnation ring hollow in the absence of coordinated action that denies the junta the money, weapons and legitimacy that enable its relentless atrocities.
Last night airstrikes by the military junta killed nearly 30 and many injured, mostly women and children from a IDP camp in Laiza, Kachin State.
I will do everything in my power to hold junta accountable for continued atrocities against the civilians.

Myanmar's military launched late-night artillery attacks on Laiza in Kachin State yesterday, resulting in a devastating loss of numerous lives, including innocent children who were residing in an IDP camp.
