We live in the most educated generation in human history.
More degrees. More data. More access to information than any civilization before us.
And yet — we can't agree on what truth is anymore.
Education alone does not make a person good. Hitler's officers had PhDs. They were brilliant by the world's standard. And they were capable of unspeakable evil — because their intelligence had no anchor in God.
Knowledge without God doesn't produce wisdom. It produces power without conscience. Capability without character. It produces what Pastor Hagee called an intellectual barbarian.
Proverbs 1:7 says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Not a supplement to it. Not a nice addition. The beginning. The foundation everything else is supposed to be built on.
We are a generation that is ever learning — consuming content, studying systems, chasing answers — and never arriving at the truth. Because we have removed the One who said, "I am the truth," from the conversation.

They keep Africa poor on purpose, not by accident but by design because they know, if Africa ever rises they fall...But enough of that. Wake up Africa✊🏾
Sometimes we’re holding on to things that we don’t need, and it’s taking up space for the new things God has. There’s no capacity for increase because we’re holding on to doubt. Do yourself a favor: get rid of the doubt. That’s taking up space for good breaks, for open doors, for promotion.

There is a truth that every believer must come to grips with if they want lasting peace: you cannot do everything in life on your own. You are not the master of the universe, and you will never have peace if you try to be. When Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” He was pointing us to the freedom that comes when we stop carrying what we were never meant to hold. Problems in marriage, family, finances, or even the pressures of a struggling economy can grow so large that they rob us of the peace of God. But peace returns when we accept the truth - we need Him.
After 65 years in ministry, I have learned that the answer is simple but powerful: cast it on the Lord. I take my burdens to my “back porch cathedral” and tell my heavenly Father, “I resign as the general manager of the universe.” When I get out of the way, God moves in. Chains are broken. Addictions lose their grip. Relationships are restored, and doors open that once seemed permanently shut. When you cast your cares on the Lord and surrender fully to Jesus Christ, God begins to do supernaturally what you could never do on your own. That’s how peace comes. That’s how freedom begins.
My wife stopped saying "thank you" when I did the dishes.
I noticed.
I was offended.
"I'm helping," I thought. "Where's the gratitude?"
One night I said it out loud.
"I did the dishes. Again."
She looked at me like I'd asked for a medal.
"You live here too."
That's when it hit me.
I wasn't "helping."
I was living in my own house and acting like a guest who occasionally tidied up.
She didn't need help.
She needed a partner who stopped waiting to be thanked for what he should've been doing anyway.
Your wife doesn't need a helper.
She needs a man who stops keeping score.

That's enough for now.
During the Rapture, Jesus will not come to earth but will meet His bride in the air and then take her to heaven. Those who remain behind will discover with a shock that all true Christians have suddenly disappeared without a trace! Disciples of Jesus will then be in heaven, in the holy presence of the King of kings, returning with Him only after the dark days of the Tribulation (Zechariah 14:5).
A man was strangled for a Christmas present.
Then burned.
His crime?
He translated the Bible into English.
1536. A prison courtyard in Belgium.
William Tyndale kneels in the dirt.
He's been there over a year. Betrayed by a friend. Arrested for heresy. Stripped of his priesthood in a public ceremony designed to humiliate him.
The executioner steps forward.
Rope around the neck.
Twist.
Then they set his body on fire.
His last words, shouted loud enough for the crowd to hear:
"Lord, open the King of England's eyes!"
Here's what they don't teach you:
In 1536, Scripture belonged to the priests.
Latin only.
If you wanted to know what God said, you asked a man in robes. You paid for the privilege. You believed whatever interpretation he handed you.
Tyndale said no.
He said a plowboy in a field should read the same words as the Pope in Rome.
That sentence cost him everything.
For twelve years he lived as a fugitive.
Fled England. Hid in Germany. Translated in secret. Smuggled Bibles in bales of cloth.
Every copy he printed was illegal.
Every copy that reached English shores was burned.
And still they came.
The Church hunted him like an animal.
They finally caught him through betrayal.
A man he trusted turned him over for money.
Sound familiar?
Here's the part that wrecked me:
Two years after Tyndale was strangled and burned, King Henry VIII authorized an English Bible in every church in England.
Eighty percent of it came from Tyndale's translation.
The King James Version on your shelf?
Tyndale is the foundation.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son..."
That's Tyndale.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God..."
Tyndale wrote that in English while hiding from men who wanted him dead.
His prayer was answered.
The King's eyes were opened.
The book he died for became the most published book in human history.
And it's sitting on your nightstand.
Unopened.
A man was strangled and burned so your family could read Scripture in English.
When's the last time you opened it?
