🇺🇸 Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand accused War Sec. Hegseth of asking for more money for bombs while Americans struggle to afford food, housing, and health care.
Hegseth pushed back:
“I’m asking for the right bombs at the right time to ensure we can deter our adversaries into the future.”
When Gillibrand pressed him on whether Iran’s nuclear program had already been “obliterated,” Hegseth said the original sites were destroyed, but Iran kept pursuing nuclear capabilities.
Hegseth ended by accusing her of trying to make campaign commercials.

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇮🇷 Iran’s FM just used 19th century German literature to accuse the West of applying international law only when it’s politically convenient.
Analyst Alex Christoforou says the statement reflects growing anger across the Gulf, where officials are increasingly frustrated with being dragged toward a regional war they never wanted.
“Open attacks by the U.S. and the Israeli regime on Iran's secured nuclear facilities do not provoke condemnation, but rather excuses and justifications.”
The deeper message was simple: rules stop meaning anything when the same act is called terrorism for one side and self-defense for the other.
