My priorities right now are get as jacked as possible, get as rich as possible, get married to the best woman possible. I don't care about anything else. It's 100,000 B.C. and I'm sitting here in my cave sharpening my spear thinking about driving a mammoth off a cliff. Full stop.

Apologies for shorthand(no 🟦✅). But there are so many souls yearning for a deeper understanding of the material due to loving the story, and it’s full of opp’s to explore and connect broader civilizational themes to the masses
@miltonappl3 Coming back to this sincerely to exhort a tentative exploration of the material. Was in the Merch o Ven chat as a Shakespearean actor (ironically inactive due to being in a production), but I think it would be a beautiful VennDiag of pop culture (#1 manga) and 𓆟 theolog/ministry
@angelaramblings As someone not raised in the church, who underwent ‘varieties religious experiences’, then came to Christ most viscerally, I get it. The temptation of ‘gnosis’ apart from Christ makes sense until you know who He is, then it falls apart in a beautiful way where He’s all you want.
@angelaramblings Usually when I use the term gnostic, it’s with the understanding that most laymen mean it to mean a hidden, esoteric/occult aspect of spiritual understanding, specifically re:Christian cosmology. Ofc the term itself depends on cultural context, but the nuance needed for that…

@angelaramblings It’s also a form of condescending patronization, due to seeing Christian belief as simple, limited, or unsophisticated, often rooted in a pseudo-gnostic universalist mindset that considers Christ’s “true teachings” to be more in alignment with their appropriative perspective, imo
@tunahorse21 Curious about how you think a former STEM turned artist/actor could capitalize in this moment? I’m an amateur/layman lover of science and keep abreast of things (the playful joke is I used to be smart and then I became an actor), but don’t have SWE/tech exp, but open to learn!
@miltonappl3 I’ve been a weekly reader since 2007 and it’s been a fun ride, but I’m actually really curious if you end up reading it yourself because I would love to see what you glean symbolically. It is rife with interesting references, puns, wordplay, in a way that aligns with your vibe
