I've finished The Hobbit!

I was pleasantly surprised, mainly by the fun and humorous tone of the prose (though I still hate songs in books!)

I definitely prefer more suspense and drama in plots, but this was a great bedtime story middle-grade.

Onwards to Lord of the Rings!
