Today, we will mark up the Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act, which now has stronger protections for fighters thanks to our work with Nico Ali Walsh. Nico cares deeply about protecting fighters and the future of boxing.
Originally opposed to the bill, he came before the Committee and raised concerns about boxer safety. At that hearing, I made clear that I wanted stakeholders who had concerns to work with me to strengthen the legislation.
Nico answered that call. He took time away from his own career to work directly with our offices and push for stronger protections for fighters. His input helped shape meaningful improvements to the bill, and the final product is stronger because of his involvement.
I’m grateful for the work Nico put into this and for his commitment to making sure this legislation works for the fighters whose careers and livelihoods are on the line.
Sen. Rosen and I are proud to have the support of a fighter who has advocated fiercely for his peers and worked to make sure legislation bearing his grandfather’s name is worthy of that legacy.
@__Injaneb96 Wow, who knew that committing rape doesn’t make you an alpha male? Shocking.
Tate is the beta he always claimed others were—and so are all his followers.
It sometimes irks me how that Twitter crowd behaves.
Ellie is portrayed as a frustrated teenager, and Bella Ramsey absolutely nailed it.
I don’t get the criticism at all.
The Ring is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of boxing legend George Foreman.
Foreman is considered one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, and will be remembered as an icon of the sport forever.
Our deepest sympathies are with George’s friends and family at this time.
@BoxeoPats Don't you think it is a problem about the future of the sport?
Many criticized Al Haymon for overpaying fighters, Arum and Oscar were the first in line.
And now a guy emerged from nowhere, does exactly the same, and those who complain work for him.
That's double standard
@arielhelwani@DAZNBoxing Then why Sport Giant ESPN not renewing the Boxing Contract with Top Rank?
Why FS not returning to Boxing?
If Boxing in such a great place why DAZN can't get any media rights to any other sport leveraging that fact?
