Descent involved 13 abseils & 5 scrambles. At 2pm we touched down. Cloud shrouded the summit, snow was falling.

11am we summitted peak Nelion (5188m) via the SE Ridge - a superb alpine route, weaving through awesome terrain, with tricky pitches & breathtaking traverses.

Paul & I found no evidence of previous ascents; No cairns, polished rock, prayer flags or litter. No reports on the Himalayan database.

The Dhauladhar Range - area of sacred lakes, home of Lord Shiva - is relatively unexplored; Moon Peak's surrounding tops, such as the Camel, have seen little traffic.

We'd love to tag a few rare tops!
