I grew up fanboying over the phenomenal complexity Hayden brought to Claire Bennette and how she breathed life into the character. This is so gut wrenching π.
@BallyWannabe Aren't we supposed to look at Real GDP instead of Nominal when assessing a country's economic growth? The former deflates the numbers by accounting for inflation while the latter makes that said inflation looks like a country's GDP is larger than it actually is.
@365CharlesParis I always forget that the version with Lil' Kim is not the original but a remix. It's the one I and most people always recall because of her iconic verse.
@Mwansakabinga1@BwalyaTrae Since she mentioned Kitwe, I assumed that's where she wanted these amenities? Compared to Ndola, the business has the closest potential in foot traffic and profitability since it's highly dependent on a dense population of young consumers.
@Mwansakabinga1@BwalyaTrae I highly disagree with this because people still go to Cinemas in huge numbers to watch a Marvel or Disney Animated Blockbuster. A lot of people still attend concerts despite Spotify and mp3 downloads being a thing. If anything, the internet has intensified this culture in Zed.
@ShiMutale98 I initially thought this was satire until I read the OP's replies. We really are in a downward spiral if this is what our policy makers think like. A country that can barely provide basic necessities and someone deems it wise to add a million more problems to the mix?
@Makanjila_23 As someone who loved RB's presidency, even I can call out the nostalgic bias in this post. Women delivering babies in hallways, the sell of Zamtel to Lapgreen (b4 SATA halted it) and the brazen bus station cadreism were the ires people had with his presidency.
@CamThaKing So the revolutionary was the man who was going to drag Wakanda and it's entire populace into a global crisis by possibly murdering millions because he wanted to sate the unhealed trauma from his abandonment and daddy issues?
@mynameisCHANSA Why would you be understanding of people jeering at the prospect of Zambian USAID employees losing their jobs in this rough economy you claim you're worried about? That comes off quite disingenuous and the issue of local USAID workers being smug is so overblown.
@StudentsZed The case with the gunned down criminals is one of the situations where I support our security wings being trigger happy. It's sad what happened to you but until there's actual solid verification on how many wrongful killings have occurred, I'm 100% behind the C5's strategy.
@Malik_ZMB@linnnbabyyy We've barely found homegrown solutions to cholera, malaria or TB and this is almost 3 decades into the 21st Century. An abrupt stop to essentially medicate a chronic illness will literally reverse the gains made in halving HIV infections and send us back to the 90s crisis levels.
@khumbolaneT@bellasadornment If that 'improved education' was ever effective, it could have actually sustained the socialist system by giving net gains to our economy, culture, and eventual industrialisation. The opposite happened, and we had incompetently run govt businesses that were running at a loss.
@khumbolaneT@bellasadornment Have you picked up a history book detailing how that experiment panned out from the late 1960s to early 90s? This can't succeed in a country that has a high level of illiteracy, low productivity, and dismal accountability with poor state administration.
