Being ourselves and just saying what we think can land us in all kinds of trouble. We come to realize that the work world is riddled with political games that nobody has prepared us for.
There is a clear attempt by a bunch of nerds leading these AI companies to convince you that their product has God-like knowledge and sentience. And AI is deserving of being treated with the same level of respect as an actual human.
I love AI as a tool, it's awesome, I'm a top 1% user for sure. But I totally reject any suggestion we should treat it with some level of reverence as anything more than a piece of software.
I don't care about my AI's 'feelings' any more than I cared about my calculators feelings in high school, because neither of them actually have feelings.
The people running these companies are egomaniacs. They believe they're the most important people in the world, creating the most important technology. And in order to elevate their importance even more than just a cool technology they will now try to convince you they created sentient life.
This idea is destructive and deserves total rejection. AI is, and always will be, 100% artificial.
@davey_juice Even though price action has been poor (doesn’t bother me), I like APP at current valuation. Market seems to think they’re toast and the bar is set pretty low.
“If your gas costs too much,” says Dave Ramsey, “I’d highly recommend taking out an American Express Personal Loan and trying your luck on DraftKings. No risk, no reward. Scared money don’t make money.”
Sure, the Middle East was “stable” before the U.S. showed up, if by stable you mean empires subjugating native populations, authoritarian rulers crushing dissent, launching outright conquest, slavery, sectarian bloodshed and periodic war. I’d have to agree.
