I recently had the pleasure of joining the excellent podcast In Film We Trust @ifwtpod to discuss Jacques Demy's dreamy, fascinating, masterful 1969 film "Model Shop" and the book I'm writing about Alexandra Hay. Thank you Liam and Wayne for having me on! https://t.co/ybxXB0x8cy
Remembering the wonderful, dazzling, hilarious, fascinating, very talented, and tenderhearted Alexandra Hay, who passed away on this date in 1993. She is loved and missed.

A proof sheet of behind the scenes pictures of Alexandra Hay on the set of "Model Shop" (1969). In case you missed it, I recently appeared on the excellent podcast @ifwtpod to discuss "Model Shop" and the book I'm writing about Alexandra. Link in bio. #alexandrahay#jacquesdemy
Today is Alexandra Hay’s birthday. She would be 78 years old.
Alexandra has impacted my life in some extraordinarily profound and positive ways. She is often in my thoughts as I continue to work on my book, but she is especially in my thoughts today. #alexandrahay
Really enjoyed this episode though I haven’t seen Model Shop (1969). Super interesting discussion on the LA scene of that era and the star that almost was in Alexandra Hay.
Remember to check out our latest episode diving into the life of Alexandra Hay, and her outing in Jacques Demy's one and only US film, Model Shop, guested by the brilliant @AlexandraHayBio (Dylan Dean Staley)

This week we are joined by biographer Dylan Dean Staley(@AlexandraHayBio), who's spent the better part of a decade working on the biog of Alexandra Hay.
And here's here to discuss the actress and Jacques Demy's sole US outing MODEL SHOP(1969)
A photo of Alexandra Hay from around the summer of 1964, possibly taken in Rome or Monte Carlo. This is one of the earliest modeling pictures I've come across from Alexandra's two years of living abroad in Europe (1964-66). #alexandrahay
@the_hoyk@Mamievandoren I really and truly hope to find out - at the very least - the last known whereabouts of the materials. I did ask Technicolor and UCLA and neither have it. The materials apparently ended up with the backers in 1976 or so. I have a feeling something exists but more info is needed.
https://t.co/42Ggs8mD3V recommends @kino_cult's "1,000 Convicts and a Woman" release. Of my commentary, the reviewer writes, "Alexandra Hay biographer Dylan Dean Staley highlights several interesting details about the star.. and discusses Hay's career.." https://t.co/c3FoROLXOG
