@ascendingtoad I was literally thinking “Anna’s got the new-country thing down, wish I had friends here” today 😂 Selfishly a little happy I’m not alone
@tveite Thing you don’t understand till you’re in your 30s is that it largely comes from a place of “time moves this quick how” and “its been longer than I realized since I last saw you wow”
@MsMinotaur I think part of it, at least for me, was that I felt some pressure to get “good” at my hobbies. Once I had all this time away from them, I was able to just have fun again.
@MsMinotaur This was me. Then I started traveling full-time for a few years, and didn’t miss them much. Once settled again, tho, I had all this renewed energy and interest in them. Maybe going with the flow and finding different things you can enjoy would help you reconnect with them later.
@RottenInDenmark Lol the random signs that appeared everywhere advertising the event are my fav part. I feel like the initial hate and then deep love for the Flyers mascot Gritty a few years back is all you need to know to understand Philly’s sense of humor.
Today is one of the @philamuseum Pay-what-you-wish days. We’re outside picketing in heavy rain. Here’s our flyer for today, only slightly damp! You can donate to our strike fund here: https://t.co/cxN7SUzyd6
@soniasodha I get that this is an opinion piece, but an utter lack of #’s or sources for sweeping statements like “growing numbers of young people on the path of irreversible medical treatment” and “there is a coincidence with autism” makes this article just read as fear mongering.
After a two-alarm #fire Friday at the iconic Jim’s Steaks on South Street, the owner said he received good news today. The building does not have to be torn down, and is structurally sound. He vows to rebuild. Cause believed to be electrical. No one injured. @CBSPhilly
@abgutman I did. I let him in my room on occasion with a mask on. I was also isolating from my partner, who took care of him. The cat was pretty unhappy about the whole thing lol
