Hi, I'm Alex.π
I'm a physics graduate who has built a successful career in Management Consulting. But it wasn't for me.
After 7 years, I've finally found the courage to make some changes.
Read on for more about my story.π§΅
@addycodes Itβs tough out there! Cold applying for jobs is really inefficient (but still needs to be done)
2 things I found that helped me:
Reaching out to people on LinkedIn and engineering referrals
Building a network of recruiters that can look for roles for you!
Good luck!
@catalinmpit Iβm early in my tech career and personally Iβd rather be in the office close to my senior devs and mentors as much as possible! I have so much to learn and so many relationships to build. Itβs just not the same over zoom!
@catalinmpit I think walking through some code / a project you have built is probably the best proxy for what your level of skill is! Maybe a pair programming session on top of that to make small improvements you were planning on making next anyway!
@florinpop17 The one that sounds best is the one that most accurately reflects what you do! CEO if appointed by a board of directors to run a company, or founder if you founded⦠easy!
@EwaNikodem I'm reading it! It's better if you get a friend to read it with and talk about what you found interesting! ... It's in Java though which is less fun
Now that I can code and actually build things, better learn some data structures and algorithms so that I can prove I can actually code and build things π€£ #techWHY
I have always been against paid courses in this space.
There is an endless faucet of free information in web3, created by some of the smartest minds in the industry.
Let's talk about why you shouldn't pay for courses, and how you can learn Solidity/Web3 entirely for free.
