APD is on scene at N. Quaker Ln & Preston Rd. APD assisted Arlington County PD in a vehicle pursuit of a carjacked vehicle. Suspect crashed into an Alexandria PD cruiser at this local. Uninjured suspect apprehended. APD officer sustained minor injuries & is being transported.

Notification: There is a moderate police outside of Ramsay Elementary School due to the apprehension of a driver and a stolen vehicle. There was no threat to the school, however it’s currently on lockdown until the scene is cleared.

Notification: There is currently a police presence at Alexandria High School due to a possible bomb threat. Out of an abundance of caution, ACHS officials have decided to evacuate the school. APD officers are on the scene investigating.
