Alex Charlotin is one of the top unsigned JUCO guards in the country. The 6’4” point guard from Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Quebec, Canada, finished his freshman season at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa, where he led the Panthers all the way to the NJCAA National Championship game. This past season, Charlotin averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists per game while shooting an efficient 58% from the field and posting an impressive 3.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. Charlotin is an explosive athlete with a standout 6’9” wingspan, and he maximizes his physical tools on both ends of the floor. As a long guard, he uses his length and athleticism to get downhill off ball screens and finish through contact around the basket. He has a natural feel with the ball in his hands, reading defenses out of pick-and-roll situations and seeing the entire floor. He also posseses a long, tight crossover that he uses to get downhill quickly, blowing by defenders and finishing at the rim for two. He plays with a high motor, impacting the game on the glass and defending effectively off the ball. While he is not yet a consistent perimeter shooter, he puts constant pressure on defenses by attacking the rim and creating opportunities for teammates at the right moments. Defensively, Charlotin uses his length to disrupt opposing offenses, clog passing lanes, and contest shots both on the perimeter and around the basket in half-court situations. In transition, he is a one-man fast break, capable of outrunning defenders and finishing above the rim with authority. After an outstanding freshman campaign, Charlotin has received Division I offers from Georgia Southern and Cleveland State, and he is expected to draw even more interest this offseason thanks to his upside, athleticism, and relentless motor @Alexball009@JucoRecruiting@Uorangemen2@MbbEllsworth@BryanBender
