"In conditions of impossibility within and outside 'The Academy' Anshuman Prasad has created possibilities for us Southern embodiments everywhere to exist as scholars and express our own voices as human beings"
MEDVEDEV EVEN MORE UNPLUGGED
“Taking into account the enemy’s decisions to supply the Kiev regime with weapons with an even longer range, this line ['buffer zone', as referred to by Putin] should pass in the area of Lviv… so that it could play a real defensive role."
I'm pleased to announce that @ronald_hartz and I will convene a workshop at the 13th ICMS Conference (Nottingham, June 20-22), in which Susanne Täuber, @SamerAbdelnour, @lizmorrish, and @profsimonlilley will join us to debate #AcademicFreedom under attack. https://t.co/kS7dsl6bKE
MULTIPOLARITY IS BACK
In "Before European Hegemony: The World System A. D. 1250-1350", Janet Abu-Lughod shows the prevailing MULTIPOLAR ORDER when the West “lagged behind the ‘Orient.’”
Later, the West only “pulled ahead because the ‘Orient’ was temporarily in disarray.”
It's like all of Africa is here in Moscow for a Multipolar World parliamentary conference tomorrow.
Putin will personally address them - the day Xi is coming to town.
Feels just like the good old Non-Aligned Movement days.
But now Africa packs a serious collective punch.
@AlexaBristow@cms_aom Many congrats Alexandra ! Your post made me think that every critical doctoral student who join the CMS community is an unvaluable award for all of us !!!
W.E.B. Du Bois is a major International Relations theorist, and his writings should be standard reading for international relations students.
If you're reading Morgenthau (or Waltz or etc), you need to also read Du Bois.
