Note to venues.

Last night I played a gig at a small theatre.

As usual, people had emailed in pressuring them not to allow me to play.

As usual it stressed the venue.

The venue then contacted me saying they were worried about a backlash (from the liberal left I should add, y’know, the good guys). The gig was in danger of not going ahead.

There were several back and forth emails.

I explained that my show contains zero politics and I don’t even swear adding that I have never told a racist joke and never would.

The show was sold out. The show went ahead. The show was great.

The night ended with the theatre management asking me if it could be a regular event.

Maybe theatres should just ignore the haters who troll venues like they ultimately did.

The people who do this venue trolling are hateful, spiteful basement dwellers. Every time a venue caves into them, they are making the world a more hateful, spiteful place.

Don’t allow this handful of people roll us back into darkness.

Labour keeps talking about “working people”, but look closely at what they mean.

They are not talking about builders, founders, shop owners, freelancers or anyone who takes risks.
They are talking about people who earn from the state or rely on it.

If you create jobs, you are now the problem.
If you take risks, you are punished.
If you try to build something of your own, they treat you like the enemy.

This Budget made it crystal clear:
They do not want a nation of owners; they want a nation of dependents; people who will never accumulate assets, never build wealth and never escape the system.

A government that fears entrepreneurs more than it fears unemployment has its priorities upside down.

Britain needs more business owners, not fewer.
More builders, not beggars.
More independence, not deeper dependence.

If Labour genuinely cared about “working people”, they would encourage them to become owners, not block every path that leads there.

We either choose a country of builders or a country of serfs.
Right now, Labour are choosing the latter.

The disgust response to animal fat is 100% learned. Let me prove it.

1900: Beef tallow is the premium cooking fat.
Restaurants advertise "cooked in pure beef fat" as a selling point. Status symbol.

1950: Children grow up eating meat drippings. Beef fat on bread is normal. Nobody's disgusted.

1960: Crisco launches aggressive marketing: "Vegetable oil is clean and modern. Animal fat is dirty and old-fashioned."

1970: Kids start growing up with "animal fat is gross" messaging in schools, TV, everywhere.

1980: Entire generation raised believing animal fat is disgusting.

2024: People feel physical revulsion at the sight of beef fat while happily eating Doritos fried in industrial sludge.
This is propaganda, not biology.

Babies naturally prefer fatty foods. Give a toddler bacon versus bread, they choose bacon.

But condition them for 20 years that fat is gross? They'll grimace at ribeye marbling while eating seed oil-fried crisps.

The disgust is learned. Programmed. Artificial.

Your great-grandfather saved bacon grease like gold.

You pour it down the drain and feel virtuous.

Nothing biological changed. Only the propaganda.

@Heccles94 Your list would carry weight if it matched the real world – but it doesn't. You're preaching to the wrong crowd. The very prejudices you condemn aren't coming from the people you scold. They're coming from the same cultures you insist Britain must absorb without question.

Take trans people. In the cultures you refuse to criticise, they aren't debated, protected, or treated with dignity. They're persecuted. In many Islamic states, being trans means arrest, beatings, or forced "correction." Some are driven underground. Some are disappeared. You talk as if Britain is the threat, when the worst treatment happens in the places you defend.

Homophobia? The same story. In several Islamic states, homosexuality isn't frowned upon – it's criminalised. Men are imprisoned, flogged, or hanged for who they love. The fear isn't "hostile comments on a platform". It's state punishment written into law. Yet you save your anger for people in this country who simply raise concerns about integration.

Racism? Spend five minutes looking at the sectarian hatred that tears apart places like Iraq, Pakistan, Lebanon, or Sudan. There are ethnic and religious hatreds there far older and far deeper than anything you claim to see in Britain. But you say nothing, because your worldview depends on pretending intolerance is a uniquely Western sin.

Misogyny? If you want to see women treated as second-class beings, look at the honour codes, the forced marriages, the veiling, the male guardianship systems. In some Islamic states, women need permission to travel, work, or even leave the house. In others, rape victims are punished for "moral crimes." This isn't marginal behaviour – it's law, custom, and normal life.

Ableism? In parts of the world, disabled children are hidden, institutionalised, or treated as shame. You'll find none of that as cultural norm here. Yet somehow Britain is the villain in your eyes.

You repeat your list like a spell – as if saying the words makes you righteous. It doesn't. It only shows you've never examined the ideals and norms you're defending. You lecture Britain on prejudice while ignoring the harsher, codified prejudices that some migrants bring with them.

And that's the danger, Harry. Your naivety isn't benign. It blinds you to the real sources of intolerance. You attack the people raising legitimate concerns, while giving a free pass to beliefs that crush women, silence gays, persecute minorities, punish the disabled, and wipe out any notion of individual freedom.

Bigots shouting loudly isn't the threat.
The threat is imported intolerance, wrapped in "diversity," carried in without question, and protected by people too frightened or too naive to name it.

If you want to confront hatred, Harry, start by being honest about where the worst forms of it actually live – and what happens to people under those systems. Until then, you're not fighting bigotry. You're helping it travel.

The whole thing was a simulation, from the exaggeration of the deadliness of the virus, the fraudulent PCR tests, the unsafe and ineffective vaccines, the failure to treat symptoms with existing medicines, the lockdowns, the masks, the socialist distancing, the overuse of Midazolam and morphine, the statistical jiggery-pokery, the deployment of military grade propaganda, the censorship of critical voices.

All of it designed to simulate a pandemic whereas, if we'd done precisely nothing in response, the 2020-1 period would have passed by as just another bad winter for respiratory viruses.

The origin of the virus is an interesting tangent, but the whole pandemic simulation would have happened regardless of where the virus originated or, indeed, if there was no novel virus at all.

I've been getting called "far right" for about a decade now, purely because I campaigned for Brexit and favour much lower, controlled, immigration.

And I'm sick of it. In the same way as I'm sick of being called an anti vaxer for being opposed to one particular vaccination, and sick of being called a climate denier for having nuanced views on climate change.

People, and I'm looking at you, Keir Starmer, should quit using these hackneyed meaningless labels which get expanded daily to encompass ever increasing numbers of people, and focus instead on addressing the behaviours that are wrong.

Violence of any type, against anyone, is wrong.
Racism, against ANY race, is wrong.
Murdering children is wrong.
Knifing soldiers in the street is wrong.
Exploding bombs at pop concerts is wrong.
Blowing up buses and tube trains is wrong.
Starting illegal wars is wrong.
Two tier policing is wrong.
Two tier justice is wrong.
Biased media reporting is wrong.
Repeatedly breaking promises to the electorate is wrong.

None of these behaviours is unique to the far right, or the right in general. And many of these wrong things are either done by, or tolerated by, hand-wringing politicians in government.

Enough with using stupid labels like "far right" to "other" people, stick them into categories many don't belong in, and to shut down debate and destroy nuance.

Focus on addressing wrong behaviours instead. Equally, without fear or favour. Including your own behaviours.

Maybe then the world would start to change for the better.

Interesting. About a year ago, the influential Cochrane review published a paper which was a meta analysis of mask research which concluded that masks made little difference to respiratory virus transmission. Something which could be observed from the data by comparing US states with mask mandates to those without them.

Uproar followed, and Cochrane was pressured to review the plain language summary as the masking lobby felt it was inaccurate. The lead author Tom Jefferson was not happy and made his views known:

"The result means that regardless of what pathogen or what presenting symptom there is no evidence from high quality studies that either medical or surgical masks make any difference to transmission, which is the whole point of wearing or not wearing a mask or any of these other interventions like hand-washing"

Cochrane has come back and said they don't intend to make any changes. The study stands as published.
