Last night at around 8:00 p.m., I ordered a Faras ride. Halfway through the journey, I the driver ended the trip while I was still proceeding with my journey. Luckily, I was holding my phone and saw it immediately.

I asked him several times why he had ended the ride before reaching my destination , but he didn’t respond and just kept driving. I had to talk to him in atough way asking him to stop so I could get out.

This is a serious safety concern. If something had happened after the driver cancelled the trip, the app would show that the ride had already ended, making it difficult to prove I was still with the driver.

@farasugapps , please consider confirming with passengers whenever a driver cancels or ends a trip before reaching the destination. A simple call or in-app confirmation could help protect passengers, especially if they haven’t noticed the trip was cancelled.

I’m sharing this so others stay alert. Always keep an eye on your ride status and speak up if something doesn’t seem right.

Fatumah Nansubuga (NUP), who narrowly lost the Kalagala Parish Female Councillor seat to Zaituni Nabitaka (NRM) by just three votes, fought with the winner accusing her of rigging the election.

The two fought at Luwero District Tally center shortly after declaration of the results .

Nabitaka was declared the winner after scoring 451 votes and Nansubuga scored 448 votes.
