For those looking for what a grey hulled Legend Class frigate would look like, we had the answer 11 years ago. I might do a Substack on this Monday, but at Sea Air Space 2014 then Ingalls Shipbuilding had a mock up of its “Patrol Frigate” version of the Legend Class cutter. It had hull mounted and towed array sonars, torpedo launchers, 8x Harpoon launchers, a 76mm main gun, VLS cells able to launch ESSM, VL ASROC and/or SM-2 missiles and a SeaRam system on top of the hangar.

Teethy.

Will our version have all of that? We’ll see…but it sure as hell should have the 76mm over the 57mm at a minimum.

@NedosVassilis Είπαμε να αγοράσουμε πανάκριβη κ βραχύχρονη υψηλή γαλλική "προστασία" (βλ. fdi) θυσιάζοντας το ΠΝ, αλλά να ολοκληρώνεται το σφάλμα για τα μάτια του Γάλλου ΠΘ (ζήτημα αν θα βγάλει κάποιους μήνες κι αυτός) αποτελεί ξεβράκωμα και μάλιστα ανούσιο.
